Default snorkel mask

Do you pack your glass snorkel mask or keep it in your carryon?

I've always just packed in in the checked luggage, never had enough room in my carry-on.

our snorkel gear has its own bag. I didn't even know that they made glass snorkel masks, all i have ever seen is plastic. Pack it in its original padded foam container. We check our snorkel bag.

My snorkle mask has prescription lenses, and cost over $200. They sent it to me in a hard plastic case, so I keep it in there at all times, and put it in checked baggage. I have too much other stuff to lug around in my carry-on

Both mine and my wife's are prescription masks, so they go in the hard plastic cases and then into my carryon. If was a regular glass lens instead of corrective, I might put it in the checked bags.

My mask is not prescription, but it was $$. If it was prescription, I would pack it in my carry-on. But I put mine in my checked luggage, housed in a hard plastic case. I don't want the rubber to be crunched and distorted which might alter the fit. You can even pack a few small things in the plastic case with the mask....mask cleaner, extra straps, etc. to save space.
