Hi, this is my first cruise. It's only the 4 day Baja Mexico trip and I was wondering if anyone could give me a heads up on the dress on this ship? If we don't want to go to the 'dining room' do we have to at least once?
NO you don't have to go to the dining room if you don't want to. If you want to have buffet every meal then that is up to you! Its your cruise, enjoy! (although I highly recommend the dining room, at least for dinner)

4 day cruises are very casual, not even sure if you have a formal night. Dress code for men is simply dockers type pants and a polo or hawaiian print shirt and casual shoes.
For the ladies its capris and a nice top, sheath or sundress, dockers with a nice top, or a nice skirt & blouse - flat sandals.
Definatley eat in the dining room, the food is far superior to what you would get at the buffet.
Try the dining room (maybe the 1st night when the dress is more casual) and I suspect you'll be back every night! The food is far superior in the dining room. Enjoy!

I would recommend the midnight buffet in the Paris Restaraunt at least once. We went after the talent show and they had crepes, both dessert crepes and regular crepes. They were wonderful! We ate in the dining room for almost every meal & enjoyed being waited on, REALLY waited on. What service! I enjoyed the room service also on one day when I got back from an excursion too late for lunch. They were very quick. Enjoy
You will have one formal night on a 4 day cruise. Carnvial isnt that dressy. You can just wear a cute sundress, or capris with a nice top. They even allow jeans on non formal nights. Go and have fun, go to the dining room the food is much better.
