packing for cold weather on ship??

A friend just arrive back from a 4 day cruise that stopped at the port of Cozumel.
He said it was cold on the ship the whole time and the only time it was warm was at Cozumel. So is the weather cold on the ship in the Gulf of Mezico?Would DW and DD repack their suitcase and wear long pants and take sweaters??

Remember, onboard is just like being inside an air-conditioned hotel, so bring a wrap. also, in the winter months, it can be cool and windy in the caribbean. we also have at least a windbreaker, a long sleeve t-shirt , and some sort of cover-up for the pool and beach.

I have never had a problem with feeling cold in March, however, I live in Maine and well anything above 55 you leave the jacket at home. It also helps if you are out on the ship dancing and having a good time it is hard to realize the temperature.
