Default Travel coffee maker

Has anyone brought one on board? I recently bought one from Brookstones to use when I travel. I know cruise coffee isnt the best, so I figured I would bring my own. I just can't function without good coffee in the morning.

never bothered with one. We order our coffee from room service for the morning, its not bad at all. The coffee at the buffets isn't very good.

Well, a couple of years ago we were really into Mudslides. I took blender and mixes. Room steward kept us in ice and nobody said a thing. I would think if you had a small coffee maker and liked a certain brand of coffee you could do the same. It would be a lot less noisy!!!!!

Actually, we found coffee on both CCL and RCCL to be excellent. We order room service for our early morning java fix - great to have it delivered to the cabin.

I take a little immersion heater that fits in a cup - it warms the water and I just add cappucino mix (I get mine from the dollar store and it tastes great!) - it's great in the morning because I can't function until I have that first cup - then I get room service breakfast an hour later. I use it to make green tea in the afternoon as well - my pick-me-up. It works for me - I've used the same one for travelling for about 8 years. TTFN Jennifer

We absolutely require good, brewed coffee and short of specialty coffees you order in the dining room (espresso, latte) we have never found a good cup of coffee on a cruise.

We usually bring along a small espresso machine, a pound of good coffee and make our own in the room. We are trying to pack light for the next cruise so we will bring a small French press.

I too require a good cuppa joe first thing in the morning before I greet the world. I have a small french press that has traveled the world with me. but what about the boiling water? are there kettles in the cabins? these threads are all helpful, thanks so much.

There were kettles on board on our last cruise (Norwegian), but we are going to take an immersion heater with us just in case for next time.
