Default Over or underdressed?

I like to err on the side of caution, so I always overdress, sequins, chiffon, etc.
I'd rather be overdressed, confident I look my best, than underdressed and uncomfortable with the way I look. Just wondering how others feel? I personally worked in retail clothing and I just love the variety of clothing. Going on a cruise is like watching a fashion show.
But you know there is always someone young and beautiful who could wear a burlap sack and still look sexy.....sigh *g*

Yes, I'm with you, would rather be over-dressed than too casual..

I am in complete agreement. I think dressing up makes the world a prettier place. Not paying attention to appearance in public-on board-is conceit. Others can't avert their eyes and are forced to accept those people as is!
ps--i also had a great time in retail . My goal was to make my corner of the world look better!
I also wonder how many people think like this?

I agree. I'd much rather be overdressed.

I'd rather be over-dressed than under-dressed.

BUT, while on vacation I'd rather rent a beachhouse where I can do what I want day or night, wear pajamas to stroll on the beach, teehee. I don't like someone else setting the pace or raising the bar. I'd rather relax and BE OFF THE BOAT!

There is no such thing as being over dressed.

I, on the other hand, would like to be undressed, but my wife won't allow that.

I will never wear a tux, but I do, reluctantly, wear a dark suit on formal nights.
