Robes on the ship???

Can someone tell me how large are the robes on the ship?? I am a big girl and just wondered if i should take my own robe?

all i can tell you is that my DH is a big man (2XL) and the robes just fit him.

there were very nice robes even in the 1a cabins on the carnival spirit. they were very nice and would fit most sizes i think.

Angela - the robes are very roomy - sort of a kimono style - they are also very comfortable. I couldn't believe how many guys wore them to the theatre shows lol. Leave your robe at home - you'll need the extra space for all those souvenirs lol. Enjoy your cruise!

We love the robes on board and almost wore them to the theater on our first cruise because it was so cold. They are plenty big. They do sell some nice shawls in the gift shop for about $10. I have bought several and love them. The restaurants at home are cold in the summer and I keep one in my car.

We were disappointed however when we booked a cruise on short notice in September and had to take an interior cabin. There were no robes and when we asked the steward, we were told that they were only on the Ocean view and balcony cabins. This was on the Carnival Sensation.

One thing I never understood was that Carnival would take the robes from the staterooms on the LAST night of the cruise when you would REALLY need them! I mean, since you're required to put your luggage in the hallway except what you need for the next day, you think they would leave you a robe just in case!!!
