Default Formal Night Dresses and Questions

Here's the 2 dresses I found for the formal nights.

The first night...

And for the second...

My questions is
1)What type of jewelery to wear? Silver, of course, but do I go for big fake diamonds (sure can't afford the real things) Or just some nice silver pieces?

2)What type of shawls? I've seen some sold at airport gift shops. They are a little heavier than the formal types. Or should I get a thinner material?[/list]

Mom1977,

Here's the 2 dresses I found for the formal nights.

I'll bet that you'll make heads turn at the sight of those dresses!

1)What type of jewelery to wear? Silver, of course, but do I go for big fake diamonds (sure can't afford the real things) Or just some nice silver pieces?

Either would be fine.

2)What type of shawls? I've seen some sold at airport gift shops. They are a little heavier than the formal types. Or should I get a thinner material?

For formal nights, the "formal types" would be the best choice.

The suggestion to bring a shawl is in case you end up sitting directly under an air condistioning duct or someplace that's a bit cool. You probably could use the same shawl with both dresses, especially if it's either black or white.

Norm.

Hi Mom1977,

I agree with Norm! These dresses are perfect. I'd wear the inexpensive silver jewlery with them. You don't need "diamonds" with these dresses.

You can find some nice, inexpensive shawls at Wal-Mart or K-Mart. They're light, but heavy enough to keep you from freezing!

Have a wonderful cruise!

Default formal dresses

gorgeous dresses Mom----I would go with simple jewelry for the 1st one and more dressy jewelry for the 2nd one. You will look stunning! Happy cruising!

Great choices!!!

A simple black shawl will work with both dresses and will also cut down on the packing.

Just keep it simple and you will be home free. Have fun and you will look gorgeous!

Take care,
Mike

gorgeous dresses.
Keep your accessories simple. You can never go wrong with diamonds, fake or real, just don't go large and gaudy. A simple chain necklace, a simple drop earing would be stunning as would a simple bracelette.
As for a wrap, again keep it simple, and plain, in the same color as your dress, and in a simliar fabric if possible. Most major department stores have wraps or pashimas.
a dress strappy sandal or dress heel and you are all set!

i really like the first night. if u buy one of the black translucent/ transparent (the really light billowy ones) shawls they can be worn with both dresses. as far as jewelry diamonds with 1st night not with the second night may be basic silver pieces u wer talking about.
