Default ANOTHER formal night question...

We're cruising on the Celebration in July. I found a great formal dress for $40 on ebay-- it's a prom dress, and it's kinda trendy and heavily beaded.

will it look silly for my husband to wear a suit and tie if I'm all sparkly and stuff?

Why not talk your hubby into renting a white dinner jacket Tux or regular Tux for the formal nights. It's fun to dress up on formal nights and isn't that expensive to rent a Tux through the services most 'lines offer.

Ya only go around once ... Live it up!

Hi gsujillybean,

I don't think it will look silly at all! No one will be looking at him !

As to renting a Tux, if he wants to wear a Tux you can find one to buy at Penney's or probably on eBay for about the same price as the rental!

If he doesn't want to wear a Tux, (my DH wouldn't be caught dead in one!) a dark suit will be fine.

BTW, I've learned over the years NOT to insist that my DH "conform". It doesn't work and just causes unneeded arguments !

Hope you'll post pictures here when you get back,

great advise Fern! you got such a super deal on the dress, why not see if you can do as good for a tux. If not, a nice dark suit will be just fine.If the dress makes you feel pretty and it looks good on you, go for it!!
little tip: wear the dressier of your formal outfits on the first formal night. The Captain's Welcome Aboard Party- its the dressier of the formal nights.
Can you post a picture of your gown?
