Two years ago on a cruise there was large Indian group onboard and the ladies all wore sarees on formal night (and some other nights, too). It was fabulous. They got many admiring glances, but not as many as the Japanese group on the Dream one year who wore drop dead gorgeous kimonos. What a beautiful way to express your culture or share someone else's.
Hey Magnolia, My brother-in law is originally from Scotland and he has a couple of kilts in his families tartan. When he wears his on special occations boy does he look FAB!!!! I'm not indian but I enjoy the saree's and kameez salwar sets for thier comfort and beauty all in one!!!!!!
I went to the local indain store and they had a ton of new outfits I am trying to decide what to buy....so many pretty colors!!!!! I can't wait for our cruise 10 days until we leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well i went to the website that I purchased my outfit from. You can go there and see my outfit. go to www.churidhar.com click on salwars then click on silks ID 1104 what do you think?
Here is the picture of your Sari. I really like it. I worked in Fremont California for a while and there is a large Indian community there. I loved going into the Fabric store such beautiful fabric.
