You should never, ever pack an iron. The cruiselines ban them, they are a fire hazard. Try a steamer instead.

As DougR. said, irons are NOT allowed! There will be irons available in the laundry rooms.
I use the Downy Wrinkle Release and find that it works very well. You can also steam up the bathroom and hang your clothes there.
I don't know Carnival's charge for pressing, but it probably would be a minimal amount, and you wouldn't have to do it yourself !
If you pack using dry cleaner bags you shouldn't have many wrinkles.
Have a wonderful wrinkle-free cruise!

Can't stress this strongly enough --- do not take an iron! A fire onboard is devastating!
Like the previous poster mentioned, take Downy Wrinkle Release. I'm a freak about pressed clothing, and this worked well for us. I unpacked as soon as our luggage arrived, and most of the wrinkles worked their way out from the humid air. My husband had pressed, folded tuxedo shirts, and they even looked fine with a bit of humidity and Wrinkle Release.
If you must have things pressed, treat this as a real vacation and have the Stateroom Attendant take care of it.

looks like you have gotten your answer. NO,NO NO do not bring aboard an iron - they are a huge FIRE HAZZARD. Steamers are ok, have found that a hot shower works just as well. Use the iron at the passenger self-laundry or see if the ship offers a pressing service for a small fee.
I can only echo what everyone else said. Leave the iron at home.
Send your stuff out to be pressed, try the wrinkle release or steamer.
A fire on a cruise ship would be a disaster!
In case you haven't gotten it yet - DON'T TAKE AN IRON.
On our last Carnival cruise there was an iron in the laundry room on each floor - use that one if you must. Or take a steamer, wrinkle releaser, hang stuff in the shower, pack wisely and if you can still see the wrinkles then you need another drink!

What about a travel iron that is also a steamer. The Rowenta model?
No, the key word is "iron" there are no loopholes or technicalities here.

I would think that it would be ok but you have to be careful of all things you plug in. You will need an extention cord.

we use the Pack Mate compression bags so very few of our things are wrinkled. As I unpack, anything that is wrinkled gets sprayed with the Downey wrinkle release and hung in the closet. By the time we want to wear it the item has dried and the wrinkles are gone. I do take a travel steamer just in case there's a stubborn wrinkle, but I rarely have to use it.
I don't know where all the sockets are in the various cabins but it wouldn't hurt just in case.

There's usually only one outlet in the cabin, near the desk. If you have lots of stuff to plug in bring a power strip. We have DH's hair dryer (the hair dryers on some ships are very weak), and our camera and phones to keep charged. With a power strip you don't have to keep plugging and unplugging things!
