Default To Do List

Okay, this isn't really packing info, but I'm on an organizational roll and decided to share what I have.

To Do’s Before the Cruise

Review packing list for items that need to be purchased/replaced
Water plants
Get travelers checks + cash
Set up internet message
Laundry/ironing
Pay bills, etc
Arrange transportation to cruise port
Extra key and instructions to pet sitter
Tape TV shows
Double check that all documents are ready
Make sure pet shots are current

Last minute:

Empty coffee filter (I failed to do this once when we had a 5 a.m. flight and it was unbelievably disgusting by the time we got back.)

Set up timer for lights/radio
Pets:
Change cat litter
Leave out extra litter/liners and garbage bags
Dry and wet food out
Copies of pet shot records
Payment for pet sitter

Stop the mail/newspaper
Look in refrigerator and throw out anything that will get disgusting before the week is out!
Take out the trash

Get prescription medications refilled
get over-the-counter medications that might be needed
Mow the lawn if not traveling in the fall/winter
Fill the car with gas, check the tires & oil
DAY OF DEPARTURE: MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE YOUR PASSPORT & DOCUMENTS IN YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE. Show them to your travel partner & visa-versa, then put them in your travel holder, fanny purse or pocketbook, DO NOT PUT THEM IN YOUR CARRY-ON.
Do a walk thru at the house, make sure all windows and doors are locked, arm the security system and be on your way.

I knew I could count on this group to remind me of things I need to do! Have to go update my list.
I have a travel document holder that fits under clothing. That is where I put my tickets and passports. On board the ship, I put it into the safe. Have a tiny purse to carry around on board. I do love not needing more than cabin key and day's worth of med's!
