Default What kind of swimsuits are ok

Are we aloud to wear bikins on the ships or are those prohibited or something. Do they have to be bikinis or one pieces. I'm mean they can't be like little straps I know that ,but bikinis are fine right??!!!

Pretty much anything goes, so long as it covers one's private parts. I have seen just about everything from a "swimdress" to a thong bottom and triangle halter top, with the latter even worn by actresses onboard a cruise ship to film television programs there. Just remember two points.

>> 1. Some styles take a lot more room in a suitcase than others.

>> 2. Most cruise lines require passengers to wear a "cover-up" over a swimsuit except in the pool area(s), regardless of the style of the swimsuit.

I should also mention that some ships do have a designated area for "topless" sunbathing for those who prefer the style of the French Riviera. It's usually in a fairly out of the way place at the top of the ship.

Norm.

A bikini is acceptable on all cruise lines.

Take care,
Mike

They are allowed.

I believe that bikinis are allowed. You might have problems wearing a topless swim suit away from the topless deck, though.

I've seen it all, wear what looks good on you.

The only thing I can't stand is the not so young 'beached whales' who need a one piece but insist on a small two piece. Most people won't say it, and it is a bit rude... but a 200+ pound, fair skin woman in a little swim suit will be talked about, and not in a complementary way.

The same goes for the men! I still have flash backs of the short 300+pound man who was wearing a speedo. I kept having the urge to stick an apple in his mouth.
