Default Formal night on Mariner of the Seas

I want to be comfortable and enjoy the night but am not use to wearing formal dresses. Also am not comfortable in heels. I have seen it written not to wear a dressy pant suit. Should I just skip the night?

No, No, do not skip it. Wear your pants suit, dress it up a tad with some jewelry or a scarf and go and enjoy. There are some people who will try to insist that everyone follow their expectations about "formal" dress, but as long as you look nice, don't worry!

I really would recommend wearing either a full length dress or a formal (very dressy) cocktail dress on the "formal" evenings, as that's really the proper attire for the occasion.

You don't have to wear stillettos, though. In fact, there's nothing less elegant than a woman stumbling around in heels that are too high for her. Pumps, with a modest heel, would be great!

Norm.

I agree, do not miss it. Wear the fancy pant suit and flats. I wear flats because of knee problems and am always comfortable. I have fancy black pants that look like a skirt and I dress up with a shiny or glittery top.

wear your pantsuit- dress it up with a silky or sparkly top and some nice jewlery and you will be fine. High heels are not necessary a nice pair of low-heel dress pumps or slingbacks would be perfect
