Another very, very fitting dress for the "formal" evenings!

What do you ladies think about a light pink formal mother of the bride dress in December? Transatlantic crossing. Do I need a more fall color?

Too bad you couldn't include a picture. Since you stated that it was a 'formal' mother of the bride outfit, I am assuming floor length. It will be just fine and you will look gorgeous! There is such a great variety of dresses on formal night, and the MOST important thing is that you feel beautiful in the one you choose. My most recent 'mother of the groom' dress happens to be chocolate brown, and more cocktail length so I may use it for formal night or drop it to semi-formal. It honestly would do both. If pink is your color, go for it.

To the original poster - WOW! Fabulous dress, just right!

To "Cisco" about the pink dress in Dec.....I wouldn't worry about the "seasonal" colours. I see all sorts of colours and fabrics no matter the season. I remember thinking I should wear red velvet with long sleeves because it was Christmas time, but of course, you can get away with a floral sleeveless chiffon-y dress in the Caribbean! Last New Years I wore lilac satin, and felt wonderful! Wear what feels good and looks good on you, and enjoy your cruise!

It really depends upon the specifics of your itinerary. Most Transatlantic cruises in December take a route that's sufficiently close to the tropics to make "summer" formalwear proper, so light pink certainly would be great for the second and third "formal" evenings. If the ship has a couple ports of call in the Mediterranean before the crossing, though, a darker (fall/winter) color would be more proper for the first "formal" evening.

Very stunning. Enjoy your formal evenings. You & your DH will complement each other.

My DH bought a tux for our daughters' weddings and is still using it for cruises. Who would have thought he would ever own a tux! :o

You look great! I treat cruises like Vegas. You can never be too dressed up on the nights out.

Though, my tip. Wear comfy shoes. That boat is big and having shoes that hurt is not fun.

Looks Fab! what line are you sailing? I'm trying to find out if my husband can rent a tux on the Crown Princess.
He's a big man, and I wonder if they carry his size?

I'm sure that they will arrange for his size to be aboard, one way or another, if you send in his sizes in advance!

Wow, love the dress!!! No, it will go well with a black tuxedo (or a white one!)

I do not have any formal clothes. I end up bringing a nice pair of black pants and a dress blouse, which gets work on both formal nights!!!!!

Just got back from the Mariner of the Seas 7 day cruise. Everyone was dressed to the 9's. You will feel very uncomfortable if you are not dressed up. A nice fancy dress (short or long) is cool. Men must at least be in a long sleeve collared dress shirt. There were men wearing this without ties. It was ok but the norm was ties.

My husband was in a tie on all nights and was not out of place. I wore a nice dress every night and felt fine.
