What to pack for 6 days, Atlantic Ocean Early November?
What clothing should my husband and I pack/need for cruising 6 days across the Atlantic Ocean?
We have no clue as to air temps in early November... Warm? Cold?
If you have sailed a re-positioning cruise from Europe back to Miami, Oct 29th thru Nov 3rd, we would love to have your input.
We will be on the Norwegian Jewel 10/20 thru 11/4.
PS- Please excuse me... this is a duplicate posting, (I originally posted to All Things Cruising)
The best trick is always "layered" clothing. Yes, it can be veryt cool outside, but you probably won't be outside that much (there is nothing to see but ocean). Take sweaters and at least one rainproof jacket.
Other than that - take warmish indoor clothes as well. no shorts, but slacks and polo shirts, sweaters, etc for daytime. It will likely also be fairly cool inside the ship as well.
I am the editor, but I also speculate, ask questions and play devil's advocate. I reserve the right to change my mind.
speaking as a native New Englander this is what i would suggest:
Fleece activewear if you plan on spending any time out on deck.
Lightweight gloves if your hands tend to get chilled
Sweater twinsets are a fav of mine for casual dinners, lightweight yet just enough warmth.
If you don't like sweaters then go for a blazer.
lightweight slicker or raincoat of some kind that you can throw over your fleece sweatshirt.
