Ihave booked for a January crossing and it will be my first time, I have asked Cunard how many formal nights and was told 2 or 3 ! When do we find out for sure? Can some of you experienced cruisers give me some help with ideas for attire on formal, informal and casual evenings.
Formal seems the easiest to work out but what is acceptable for the others. I love dressing up but don't want to feel over dressed on these nights.
i really wouldn't be worried about being overdressed on a Cunard cruise.
sounds like you have formal figured out, and you are right, formal is easy.
for Informal - men - jacket & tie, ladies - nice dinner dress or dinner suit, dress trousers with a nice blouse.
Casual - men - dockers type casual pants with collared or buttondown shirt. Ladies - again a nice day dress, skirt/blouse, trousers with a nice blouse, sweater twinsets paired up with a nice pair of trousers are great for casual nights.
I have done five transatlantics on QE2 and one on QM2 and am booked in 2008 on QM2 in July. I agree that you can't be overdressed on QE2 or QM2. I saw people dressed formal every night evn on the semi formal nights. I went with the idea that I needed formal or semi formal wear for each night
