Could use some help packing for Dec 18 cruise that starts in Rio, goes to Montevideo and Buenos Aires, then around the horn including several days cruising off Antarctica, then to Santiago. Is layers the way to go?? Will there be really cold weather in Antarctica at that time?? How about really warm in rio and buenos aires and santiago?? appreciate any help. thanks
marshall, that is a really great question and quite honestly i don't have a clue, i would suggest that you call your ta and ask. I would guess that if you pack like you would for an Alaskan cruise you might be all set, but not totally sure.
Marshall, I'd love to know how your trip turned out. What kinds of clothes did you pack? More winter than summer clothes? We're going to Buenos Aires and then down around Antarctica and Cape Horn on Star Princess February 19. I'm not looking forward to making decisions about packing -- always pack too much. How cold did it get down south?
Which ship were you on? And did you like the trip? We'll be on Star Princess and I'd love to know if anyone else out there might be on the same cruise.
