Default Packing list of handy items

Here's a list I found of packing ideas of things you normally wouldn't think of and also a list with cheap planning ideas:

These are two suggestions I haven't seen on here that I find handy.

I've found that those red publix wine bottle carriers are great for bringing you liquor off ship at disembarkation and take up little space in your suit case!

I've also taken a locker pad lock or my luggage locks on my shore excursion. Several times I've gone to places (Dunns/Snorkeling..) that have lockers. Most will allow you to provide you own however if you don't have one they require either a deposit or payment for the lock. Check before you use your own though to ensure you aren't breaking any of their rules! It could save you $5-15

Questions? Which do you think is better a power strip or a power hub? And do you think I would need an extension cord for my fan? Where is the power outlet located? Is it at the vanity or near the bed? Are there power outlets in the bathroom? All these questions do apply to Carnival Esctasy and Conquest ships.

The cabin outlet is by the vanity, so we take an extension cord. I use a white noise machine to sleep and need it closer to the bed.

Man I could have used one of those noise machines on this last cruise! In the past I've never had an issue. On this last one there must have been an employee corridor behind my stateroom, cause I kept hearing people reloading laundry behind my bed! I could make out doors shutting, things being dropped on the top of the washer and especially the dryer sheet drawer being pulled out! It wasn't fun waking up to it every night between 1-4am!
