I'm really glad to hear that formal night, isn't so formal anymore. If I can get by with a nice blouse and pair of slacks, that makes me happy!

Default Love formal nights!

I wish there were more than two per week. My wife really makes herself look GOOD! And not just what you can see.
I love wearing a tux. And I love seeing the other people looking their best.

There's nothing to say you can't dress up every night if you care to.

True. And we do. But it doesn't have the same elegance as when everyone is dressed up.

Just got back from our first Celebrity cruise since they turned Formal into Chic nights. LOVED IT. All types of dress, people looked good and comfortable and were having a good time.

I look forward to formal nights. There aren't many opportunities for us gents to compliment our lovely ladies.

Default To dress or not to dress

When I first cruised 43 years ago on Cunard it was mandatory to dress for dinner every night and for lunch on sea days. I must admit that I liked that .

These days I prefer to go as casual as possible.

The Cunard line is definitely a different sort of cruise line these days. I'm surprised that they still haven't relaxed their dress code.

I believe that they have a different clientele who like to dress formally.
