Many of you know I took is a puppy mill dog, who was in terrible condition.
Here she is three months later. She still has health issues, and was in fact very sick again this week and back on antibiotics ( she was off a grand total of four days , and on for the last 12 weeks due to multiple drug resistant infections) but she is down right perky again tonight.......
But any ways, here is my little one, just to show, maybe if you see a ragged rescue, and you think "oh my".......these ugly ducklings can turn into wonderful swans...........or love does really make you blind!

I forgot, the tongue hanging out.........is always like that, we had to remove most of her teeth, she only has like four left........and so her tongue just naturally lies like that, it is so funny especially when she sleeps! And yes Mike, rescues, from my expierience doing adoptions and rescue, are the most grateful wonderful companions and members of the family.........

Yes, I think I am keeping her, when I looked at the adoption web site, it says "adopted by foster".....I am the foster Mum, guess that means she is here to stay, although I dont remember saying I would ! Trip, I think it is so cute when they do that! On Lilly, it is even more pronounced than normal because she has no teeth in front and also because her jaw has been broken and is mis aligned in the first place........she is a funny little thing, amazes me how much "dog" she is ion such a little five pound body!

Our Papillon is a rescue we've had for almost 6 years. He too has a misaligned jaw (from bad breeding more than anything) and his little tongue is always out - to a greater or lesser degree. Sooooo funny...... he still has many physical and behavioral problems but we wouldn't trade him for a best-in-show winner. He's such a little (5 lbs.) lovebug!
