Happy Friday!

Good luck with that surgery Fern.

Temps have been all over. Rain turned to snow last night.

Been a busy, busy week. I had a full week of work and have spent a lot of time with the new class. I have over 60 students! Yikes.

Good morning. The temp today is lower than yesterday but tomorrow will be even lower. I know that for most of you the temps we are/will be getting would be a heat wave but for those of us who have been in the south longer than the north it is cold. Have started packing for our cruise next week.
Everything here is good.

All have a great day.

Good afternoon Mates

Things are getting back to normal at home since Mrs. TM's condition is improving and she is getting back to normal.
I have lived in Florida for six years but I still can handle the cold. It's never really cold for me in this area. Anything above freezing is quite tolerable.
Mrs. TM has a lower tolerance for cold so she is happy with our mild winters.

Enjoy the weekend, folks.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. I'm trying to get ready this weekend, but I'm sure I'll forget to do something! They said I can bring my own daily RX's, so I need to get those together and put just a few in smaller bottles.
I made a big pot of chili today and will freeze part of it so I don't have to cook one night. I also have some canned food and mac and cheese so DH can fix us something to eat.
It's cold here, but not too bad. Low tonight is 28. Since I'm not going out it really doesn't matter!
Hope everyone is feeling better,

Good morning Gang. I woke up super early and tried to go back to sleep. Not happening, so I'm finally having breakfast.

Not much going on today. My daughter brought in a bunch of laundry that she needed done. She spent the day and had supper with us. She took me to Kroger for my shopping that I didn't get to do on Friday.

Fern, are you going to have the surgery at Baptist?

Stay warm Gang.

I got up early this Sunday morning as well. We won't be doing too much because Mrs. TM is still not up to full speed.

Have a nice day, folks.

Happy Sober Sunday

Sunny at the moment with snow knocking on our door, 3 inches expected.
We have no snow on the ground as of now and we will be warming to the 40ís by next weekend so hopefully what we get today melts.

No big plans for me.

Well wishes to all.

Hi all,

We, too, are looking at snow late tonight and tomorrow. Maybe 3-4 inches. Of course, we are watching two of the grands AND I have a doctor's appointment in the afternoon tomorrow. I hate driving in snow and ice. Ugh! We plan to take the grands to their house and DH will stay with them while I go to the doctor (their house is on the way and appointment is in middle of the afternoon). It is my first follow up for the pneumonia with the pulmonologist since I was released from the hospital in December. I have LOTS of questions to go over with them!!!!

We are having supper with DD#1 and her family tonight. So, we will get to see all four of the grands in the next two days!! Makes me happy! We watched DD#1's kids on Friday at their house as they had a delivery coming that they needed someone to be there for the delivery guys to get into the house. I took paperwork to do along and managed to get through most of it. Those two kids (DD#1's) are such good kids. "G" is 2 1/2 and LOVES to be read to from books. "H" is 6 months and is a sweetheart! Smiles and talks and coos the whole day; unless she is hungry and she WAILS big time then!!!! Loving grandparenthood a lot!

Not much else to report. On a bit of a funny note, DD#2 called on Friday afternoon. They have had one of our vehicles since DS-I-L's truck was taken into the shop for repairs after he had a minor accident. Someone pulled out in front of him on snowy roads and he clipped their car and done some damage. Of course, it was the other driver's fault. Well, his truck was done at the shop, it was cleaned up and ready to pick up. The repair person drove it to a parking spot, thought he put it out of gear and slipped on black ice while getting out of the truck. The truck rolled forward and hit a fence, damaging the front of the truck - again!! Needless to say, the dealership is handling these repairs and his truck should be ready (again) on Monday. When my daughter was telling me this over the phone, she was so serious and I could not help myself and busted out laughing. She was not amused!! However, it is kind of funny!! Easier to laugh when it is not you!!!

Well, have a good Sunday, folks. Good to hear many are improving on the health front and hoping it continues. Enjoy the upcoming week and stay warm, dry and safe wherever you are!!

Moiraine, yes my surgery is at Baptist. I'm supposed to be there two nights.
Nancy, I may be able to post that evening. They get you up and to Physical Therapy the same day as the surgery. If I'm that wide awake I should be able to post, but don't count on it!
We went for a haircut last Friday and our stylist had already left! She didn't write us down in her book and left because she wasn't feeling well. So we're going on Tuesday. Hope she remembers.
Glad everyone is feeling better,

This afternoon I e-mailed a woman who I knew since kindergarden .I last heard from her in August . Her daughter replied saying that her mom passed away .I responded with a message of condolence and her daughter said that her mom spoke of me fondly.

Good morning Gang

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

We don't have much planned today, but I have a couple of things to in the back yard.

Fern, I hope that all goes well with your surgery. Mrs. TM slept quite a bit the day that she had hers. When she came home I did some cooking and took care of everything until she was back on her feet. Your DH will have to do the same.

Enjoy the day, folks.

I`d like passengers past, present and future to comment on whether you`d find interest on overnight or even longer calls at Cadiz port in Spain. Thanks to all

Dr. King did preach for love and peace as well. He did win the Nobel Peace Prize.
I would love to see equality for all, but many people only want wealth and prosperity for themselves.

I don't want to get political, I just want a better life for all.

Good morning Gang

Happy Tea Tuesday. . .

The month of January is more than half over. That went by fast so Spring will be here before you know it.
Today is movie day for us. Last week we mostly stayed home but now that Mrs. is feeling better we will venture out a bit more.

Gang, I hope that you all enjoy your day.

Good morning Gang.

Well, it's cold everywhere. It's 6 degrees here at the moment. I wonder what the overnight low was.

It seems that it's cold everywhere.

TM, what did you guys see yesterday?

Len, Spring will be most welcome this year.

Robin, did they get back to you.

Bob, the mail can go for a few days.

Have a good day all.

Cold here as well. Yesterday, I don't think it got over 1 degree F all day. Towards evening, it was warming a bit - to maybe 5 degrees F! Right now, it is about 8 degrees F and to get into the low 20's today. Here's hoping!!

Watched two of the grands on Monday. DGD#1 was a real pistol all day. Threw a couple of fits and generally a grump! Well, Monday night, she was throwing up all night for her parents. DD#2 stayed home with her on Tuesday. She was better, but you don't expose the sitter and all the other kids to that!! And, I told both my kids that I won't take them puking, as I do not want to catch THAT! That kind of fun is for mommy and daddy!!! So far, we are okay here - just hoping we don't get it even though we were around her all day prior!!

Got pulmonary report from my hospital stay. Nothing much but a virus complicated by being immunosuppressed. PA I saw thought going to Cleveland Clinic was a bit too soon (as it might not be needed), but I am still going. The pulmonologist does not know me as well as my family doctor who set the appointment in Cleveland.

Ran some errands, DH had well check at doctor and went to the "Y" while DH changed my kitchen faucet yesterday. We went with the big upside-down U-type faucet. Ours was leaking and DH could not find where it was leaking at to stop it. Now, he is working on the bathtub faucet. Same thing, but much more difficult to get to the part that he thinks is leaking. Hope he has the right part and can get a replacement and fix it fairly easily. Otherwise, we might be stuck with a leaking faucet forever (BTW, it has already leaked for years, but now he is retired and has time to be aggravated by leaking faucets!!!)

Well, enough of the boring stuff. Hoping all improving in health continue to improve and all have a good day. The week is flying by; hope you all can enjoy it! The weekend will be here soon, and warmer weather with it!! :>)
