Now you are talking my language.....I have been a soccer fan since I was a kid. My favorite team is Benfica, but I do follow European soccer as well as Brazillian.

I really love watching the Spain league. However I have seen Benfica play in person what a good team. I love watching the World Cup. Portugal did better then Brazil in the last World Cup. 8) Luis Figo plays for Inter Milan now. There is talk Ronaldinho will leave Barcelona to play in the English league for Chelsea. Who would leave the Spain League for the English League Sorry I never was a fan of English soccer.

I am not a fan of soccer period. When in 8th grade, I ran track for school. I was bored and played some soccer. I was kicked in the calf (we had a track meet in 2 hours) so I got pops for not relaxing. That killed any enthusiasm for soccer.

growing up in Wisconsin, contact sports were more popular. There were no soccer or hockey teams to join. Wrestling was one of the main sports in our area.

I am impressed with your knowledge of soccer and Ronaldinho is one of my favorite players; the other being Cristiano Ronaldo. He certainly is the best Portuguese player today and unfortunately, he does play in England. I too, am not a big fan of British soccer.....I have enough to follow the leagues in Portugal, Brazil and Italy. But of course I definitely do not miss a game of the world cup.
I could go on and on and certainly talk to you forever about soccer, but we are probably going to annoy other posters who do not share the same interest.

PS - The Spanish league is quite good with Real Madrid being one of the best teams in the world.

This is what I love about Wisconsin. The next couple pics are of a Bald Eagle and Sandhill Cranes that I just saw oon a ride about an hour ago. These are withing 10 miles of where I work.
Real Madrid is better now that they got rid of Beckham. I have GOL TV which I love. Cristiano Ronaldo is very talented so much so that he forgets sometimes that there are 10 other players on the field. He should be careful to be a team player and not a ball hog. He is cute through.

I honestly mean it when I say that I know I am missing out on something by not having a clue as to the rules.
I have a buddy whose daughter attened UW on a soccer scholarship. I'd go to the games with him and drive him nuts with questions.
