yep a true 100% houstonian...like i said don't know NO better

what are you doing in houston sounds like you are here for temp work or something (read on other threads) when was it you got married, congrats

DH and i will be 33 years Dec 22 this year...and still holding!

Hoping for a cruise to Alaska next year the only place DH has interest in sailing...son (30 yrs) and his high school friend want to see alaska too.

starting to search any suggestion on which lines for alaska? don't need all the rock climbing and such but good scenery from a balcony, lectures, good food and service shore excursions. Fishing for the boys.

Think i can cruise from houston or galveston
just kidding

san fran, LA, seattle or fly to alaska and cruise.
anyone done a cruisetour? that seems to interset my guys!

Morning Gang!!

Welcome Debbye -

I know a little late this morning, just the way it's going lately here at work!

Weekend was ok, Sat rained most of the day but cooled down nicely so was able to turn off the AC and Sunday was perfect - worked in the gardens (flower and veggie) and enjoyed a wonderful dinner from the garden - so hopefully the grocery bill will go down quite a bit for a couple of months or so.!!

Well, better get back to the grindstone and get busy - will check in later....

For us, it was not exactly pool weather.... Our cruise started 7/27/07 and we did have sunny weather, but only a few brave souls actually used the pool. There were people in the hot tubs, and some people lounging on the chairs wrapped in blankets. The only time it was actually cold, was the day we went to Hubbard glacier. We certainly enjoyed our Alaska cruise and would tell you more about it if you are interested.

Gotta run for now, going to picnic and concert in one of our local parks.

P.S. Mrs TM certainly found it different when she saw blankets instead of towels in the pool supply area.

It's a money thing. He loves cruising we just don't want to book right now. Plus I have no leave from last vacation. Buddy Boy got his cone off today.

CQ let me tell you, Alaska has a lot of beauty and you really get in touch with nature. During our cruise we saw bears, eagles, sea lions, whales and salmon swiming in a stream. However, it's a totally different cruise than those in the tropics. If you enjoy being where it's warm and listening to the band by the pool, you need to go to the Caribbean or the Mexican Riviera.

TM I'm all about relaxing by the pool on a hot sunny day listening to the pool band and singing along and joining in on the line dancing at the pool.
