When I was a kid we would roast chestnuts on top of our ben franklin stove. You just set them in the shell on top of the stove and wait. This is what the stove looked like.

We actually put them in the oven at a high temperature for about an hour.
They usually have them in our supermarkets at this time of the year.

anyway, weather here yesterday warmed up to the upper 50's with lots of sunshine, now today it's only in the 40's - it's roller-coaster weather here for about a week - and then we'll see what happens.

I do hope CQ is having a great time today in Cozumel.
I will have to ask her about her trip because eyeballing a cruise very similar to hers. Now the hard part is getting my hubby to book it. We do have 800 cruise points, which is $800 off the cruise price.

First off Good Morning everyone - for Wine Down Wed - still keep the wine, just have Mulled Wine - it's great on a cold day!
It's a little brisk this a.m., but suppose to warm up to the upper 50's/lower 60's depending what area you live - then tomorrow the cold front moves in - so can only imagine what the weather will be like.
