Hi Gang, just starting to get back into the swing. Haven't put together any reviews yet. My lawn guy didn't come so I have three weeks of yard work to catch up with and have waded through three weeks of bills.

It sure is nice to have you posting again, but I sure know what it's like to come back after a few weeks vacation.

Kat the US did not win, but they did better than some of the powerhouses like Italy or France.
The day is almost over but you should keep on celebrating your birthday.

Hi all I'm just sitting down to watch Brasil v Chili. Go Brasil. :-D TM I feel a year older alright. Welcome back Bob Good Luck going through your e-mails. I'm wondering which was your favorite port on the cruise. They all looked wonderful. Over here we have summer it is damn hot it is 89 degree at 11:30 expecting a high of 102 that is to hot.:eek:

Kat, I have to agree 102 is too hot. We had temps in the 90 to 95 range and that was plenty for me.

Good Morning Gang,

Kat - I'm still working on what the "favorite" port was. We loved being in Venice, Mykonos was beautiful as were Rhodes and Santorini. Santorini may take top honors - though you have to watch out for those donkeys!

It was 104 (40C) the day we were on Rhodes and we climbed the 300+ steps of the acropolis of Lindos - but the views were worth every step. We did so much climbing on this cruise I think we lost weight - steps in Venice (short flights), Athens, Rhodes, climbed the volcano in Santorini and it seemed like all seven hills in Rome!

Happy Long Island iced tea tuesday, (will go good with the current weather).

I'm watcing all of the world cup games and am especially looking forward to see Portugal--Spain.

During previous worl cups I had to go to work and could not see too many live games.

Whatever you all are doing I hope that you are enjoying the summer.

I have been thinking Santorini would be amazing. I would love to visit there some day.

TM sorry to see Portugal lose today. I guess I will vote for Brasil or Argentina. It got to 99 degrees today it should cool down tomorrow.

Now I am also a fan of Brasil. As my 88 yeras old mom who is Brasileira (Brazilian) and has dimentia said (the boys in Brasil start kicking a ball as soon as they are born).

I will be happy with Brasil winnig their 6th cup.

TM & Kat sorry to see Portugal bow out of the WC. I'll just be a fan of soccer. Besides for me the Tour de France starts Saturday - Three weeks of top level Pro Tour cycling plus the finale of the World Cup - this will be an excellent July.

Bob, the Tour de France certainly is a premier sports event.

I will be watching all the remaining WC games and would love to see Brazil go all the way.
My mom has lost a lot of her memory but she still remembers Brazilian (futebol).

We have made it to July. After being welcomed home to temps and humidity in the 90's the last couple of days have been beautiful. Haven't looked at the weather forecast - I'll just pretend it will last forever.

DW & I are talking about taking our next cruise out of NOLA. Not sure if that will happen or not, just talk so far.

I've signed the papers, it is official my last day of work will be Aug 20th!
Talk about a double edged sword :| I am so releived to know that I won't have to go to the He##hole any longer, but am so worried about ... OMG 1/2 of my salary ... big changes. I am confident that I have all the details worked out, and all will be well.

One of the details will be that I will now only cruise from home port of New Orleans to avoid airfare, but that's not a bad thing because in 2011 we are going to have 3 ships calling NOLA their home. I will watch to see which sailings DO NOT go to Cozumel .. I need a break from Coz

So funny because for 2011 I have thought about a cruise out of NOLA or Galveston. My hubby wants to see more of the USA and wants to drive to port. I want to cruise to the Caribbean so a cruise out of NOLA or Galveston would let us see more of the USA and cruise the Caribbean. I'm not ready to book anything right now.

Well I'm now making $7.25 per hour. So no cruises in my future, just foreclosure and bankruptcy. :evil:

:evil: BTW California Min Wage is higher then Fed min wage so I'm now making less the teenagers at the drive thur at Wendy's. Good thing I worked and when to school for 8 years getting a college degree.

Hi all the Controller says since the system is from the 1970s they can't do the $7.25 without violating labor law. So the controller is refusing to do the $7.25. This is going to be an interesting battle. I'm kind of bummed today because now that Argentina and Brasil are eliminated from the World Cup I don't have a team to root for. Heck even the teams I don't like are gone (France and England). This means I don't even have a team to root against.

I was trying to think who to blame for these defeats. Then I saw this article about Mick Jagger. He was at the Argentinean game today so I guess it's his fault.

Kat, I fell the same way. All of my teams are gone. As you know I was rooting for the US, Portugal , Brazil and Italy.

Now I will just relax and enjoy the the games that are left. :|

I was surprized to see Germany demolish Argentina.
