Christmas shopping is done and wrapped. I will make Eggnog pie so I need to shop for that stuff. I think the only thing I have is the rum. Manuel you are going to Portugal on this cruise. If you are in Lisbon get some of those roasted chestnuts for me. I love those things. All you people who have been to Venice what should I see I will go for the first time in May. Right now I see I'm last.

Hi Kat on this cruise it,s just the Caribbean. I,m not going to Portugal till september. But I must say those chestnuts in Lisbon sure bring back memories. I came to the US when I was 11 but then after my Vietnam experience I needed to get away so I lived in Portugal for almost 2 years. Now when we roast cestnuts over here they are not the same.

It's a pleasure to be your friend. I can't help liking soccer with a Portuguese father and a Brazilian mother it comes naturally.

I only played as a kid. When I came to th US it was not popular over here.

Yes I know what you mean! Many kids in the U.S. never really learn the correct way to play soccer. Kids in the U.S. learn to take the ball dribble and shoot and don't play as a team. Passing skill are horrible and kids are running after the ball all the time. The ball should come to your feet from your teammate. My son gets mad :evil: He wants to move to Europe. He is a big soccer freak. My house sits on a nice piece of property so we turfed a section of the yard for him and made great goal posts. After $3,000 of Turf he is a happy kid!

Soccer will never be big in the U.S.
There is Europe football then there is american soccer two different games.

This is a sad Christmas poem but oh so true! Many people should not be pet owners!

Never buy a dog in a pet store (don't support puppy mills)

A CHRISTMAS POEM



It's Christmas morning~and what do I see?

Many homes near and far with a puppy under the tree!

The kids are in awe~what a cute sight~

They PROMISE to care for him~day and night

Soon the novelty wears off~and puppy is left all alone~

Sitting in his crate~without even a bone.

Don't let him out~except to poop and pee~

He chewed the furniture the other day you see,

Time goes by~and the puppy grows

the last time he played,nobody knows!

The family decides~to give him away,

So off to the shelter~that's where he'll stay!

He has grown to be an adult, and black besides,

Nobody wants him, so in the kennel he hides.

Then one day his time was up

He vaguely remembers when he was a pup.

They come to get him~OH MAYBE A NEW HOME!

Instead he's lead to the GAS CHAMBER~TO DIE ALONE!
