I Will know more details re the trip after this weekend. My dd is new to this travel stuff on the civilian side of gov't work. When she was in the military she just did what she was told, but now as a civilian gov't worker, she's seeing how people take advantage of everything, so she's trying to find out the real rules and regs - for her travel.

TM - congrats on your anniversary of coming to the States and thank you for serving in the Army.

Compared to San Francisco downtown Sacramento is easy to get around. The street are either A,B,C, OR 1,2,3. However, M is actually Captiol Mall that is where a lot of your government buildings are.:-D You can shoot me a PM when you know more.:-D

The DW got home safe and sound and the DD is doing well also.

Well it is Labour Day in Canada
We got up late after a family party night prior
Saw two of the gran kids today and parents who are getting them ready for school tomorrow. All their new shoes / books ready at the door to go to classes. Grade 1 & 3)

Rained last night and this morning, temperature about 14C and cool
Sea Princess docks in Victoria tomorrow at 6am PST

Good Morning Gang,

Holiday weekend is over and its time for work. We spent the day cleaning the garage, so I think I am ready to sit at my desk all day and work. I've never strained my back writing code.

I am back just in time for Long Island iced tea tuesday.

We had a nice time in Niagara Falls. We only stayed two nights, but we made good use of the time. Our friends were impressed with sights.
We went on the Maid of the Mist, took a tour of the area, saw the fireworks on sunday. And we spent some time with our friends who had just returned from a four month stay in Italy.

Now that I am back we have to get cracking on the posting so that I can see the cows and the chickens before my trip to Portugal.

I am still in San Diego, the cruise was great! I liked the Splendor getting use to pink handrails on the stairs was strange though

We missed Cabo because the seas were too rough for the tenders! I was able to get some pics of the arches from Lido deck. I have lots of stories to tell and lots of catching up to do but it will have to wait until I get home. Idont have my computer ( the one who KNOWS my password) and can only use the Iphone! Not the easy thing for me I am texting challenged. I'm going to try and reset my password today.

I hope all of you are fine I will catch up as soon as I can

Well kids around here are very unhappy today. Its back to school .
At least its suppose to rain today and tomorrow so they shouldnt be wishing to be outside playing. I know my grandkids are moving slow today heading off to school, although 2 of them are home schooled.


TC its was great to hear from you. Sorry to hear you missed Cabo but best to be safe. Our last time out we missed Grand Caymen for the same reason. Luckily we had been there before.
Looking forward to hearing all about your cruise!!!

Hi to all the Gang!

Well, summer is officially over (at least I think it is!) Labor Day has passed us by and now all the kids should be in school -

we had a surprise rain shower last evening, and now have rain in the forecast for this weekend - I'll be at the State Fair, so I hope my fun isn't ruined by sudden downpours! I'll be judging the 4-H Foods Division and look forward to getting some tasty recipes!

better get back to work as I only have a 2 1/2 day work week - wouldn't want to leave anything undone before I close the office door -
