Good Morning Gang,

A wild weekend around here - had some really destructive storms Sat night/early Sunday morning! The hail was huge!! the KC area east of us had quite a bit of wind and hail stones 5 1/2 to 7 inches in diameter! The news showed several cars with both front and back windows knocked out of cars

Cooked all weekend for the guys helping my dh put up a grain bin - still have to run home at lunch to day and put out the food for them. I think there's one more day after today but the crew will be smaller - so I won't have to cook so much - just glad I'm stocked up on a lots of stuff - so I don't have to run to the grocery store all the time!

I'm leaving next Monday the 27th for California for a few days - can't wait! Looking forward to a mini-vacation.

have a great day everyone and enjoy your Mojito's

Bahama, after all that work, you certainly need a vacation.

Coincidence, we both leave for a vacation on the 27th.

Well I barely managed to get up at 6 this morning. Once I got Greg off to work I sat down and havnt moved since. I am feeling muscles in places we shouldnt even have muscles this morning

Today I need to bathe the dogs, do last night dishes and after that I am going to relax. I wish Greg had an extra day to relax instead of going right back to work this morning.

Sounds like a few here have vacations approaching soon. Hope yours are as great as mine was. It was so nice to have a last mini vacation before winter sets in.

Next vacation is December 1st for 14 days. WOO HOO !!
Until then, back to the same old routine. Which is ok with me.

Hope everyone here has a great day and I will try and get photos downloaded today so I can show you some of the beautiful scenery we saw.

Kathy

Oops page 496 and I haven't posted yet. I'll try to my part to be sure TM and Bahama get to see the cows and chickens before they vacation.

Somebody on the Carnival board is upset because they have been cutting back on the poolside entertainment. So how about a nice picture of a steel drum band.

I posted this on another thread but it bears repeating here .In 1973 we cruised to Bermuda .There were no such things as shore excursions but one night about 20 passengers and my BDW and I went to a local night club to hear a steel drum player .He was great and we invited him to sit with us after he finished playing for the evening .Several drinks later we found out that he was native to Newark,NJ and not to Bermuda as we were told .

Hello Kids!!!

Happy Mojito Day!! :-D

We have some vacations coming up with the gang. :-)

Sometimes I think going to work is more relaxing then when not at work.

Bob/TM My boy is at college now which is one hour from the house. He has an apartment two blocks from the school and then comes home on Saturday after the game then goes back Sunday nite.
Every Saturday is a soccer game.

Have a super afternoon/evening Everyone!!:razz::razz::razz:

Okay Gang,

We are planning on our fifth cruise and believe it or not, or first out of South Florida. We are flying into MIA a day early and sailing out of Fort Lauderdale. What are your hotel/ground transportation suggestions? I know this out to be up TM and CQ's alleys.

BTW: We are flying into MIA because we could get non-stops which seemed important in February.

Bob, are you looking for a place to stay in Ft. lauderdale.?

We have stayed several times at the Best Western Oceanside Inn. It's right by the beach.

Henry, I bet that you will enjoy going down to Fort Lauderdale and then cruising in the Tropics.
It's allways warm in Panama.

I hope that you enjoy Florida. We are looking to buy a house in the city of Palm Coast.

We plan to keep our Ct. place a few more years, but will eventually move down there.

We have several friends that relocated in Florida. One of the reason is the cost of living here in the Northeast.
My DW lived spent ayear in Fl. some time ago and she loves the Fl. lifestyle.

Hey you guys it's only page 496 back in the barn. The cows and chickens are getting antsy they can't wait for page 500. Well my hubby almost caught the house on fire today. He stained some wood and put the rags in the garbage can. He came home from work and smelt smoke. Sure enough the garbage was on fire. My hubby has corrected me the garbage was not on fire it was only smoldering.

TM what are the dates of your Portugal trip? I can use the places you posted and just play it by ear.

Bahamamomma we were expecting rain this weekend, but we only get a light misting Sunday for a couple of hours in the morning. I hope the weather holds for your mini vacation.

CQ I agree sometimes work is a break for real life. How does your son like being on his own for the first time?

Kathy I love vacation pictures, they are the next best thing to going yourself. I have never ridden quads before sounds like fun.

Henry you have to get to Florida I'm from California and even I have been to Florida.:-D

Bob I will see your steel drum band and raise you a picture of the band on the Carnival Elation. I wish I was here right now.

NYC, has a lot going for it. But it's good to explore other places also.

What is the intinerary of your cruise?

OK about my trip.

We fly from Philsdelphia on the 27th.
