It's a real nice day here in Ct., with sunshine and comfortable temps.

Bob. after all the work you did on saturday don't over do it with exercize today.

Henry you must be enjoying great weather in LI.

Manuel, the weather will be great here for at least the next 6 days .Sunday is my HS reunion .People are coming from all over the world .I can't wait to see my childhood friends.

Hey Manuel and Henry! and all the rest of the Gang and the lurkers as well -

hope you're all having a great day - it's hot but what can we expect this time of year - we're all watching the the might Mo (Missouri River) there's going to be some major flooding in the next few days/weeks so everyone around here is moving to higher ground, putting stuff in storage, etc. We had a heck of a flood in '93 and this could just be a repeat - we live far enough away it won't affect us, but getting to different areas could be a bit tricky -

hope everyone is doing well, have a great rest of the day!

Dude!!! What is up with the rain in June in California. Seriously, my house smells like wet dogs. June Showers; bring July flowers. That doesn't make any sense at all. Normally at this time of year we would have highs near the 90s with sun all day. If this is globally warming then I'm really confused; because quite frankly I thought globally warming would make it well warmer not colder maybe is globally cooling.

Okay that is my Mojito Monday rant. I hope everyone has a great day.

I have friends and relatives in Kansas .I hope that they and everyone else does not sustain storm damage.

Kat - yes we too have taken the California heat - temps will be in the low 90's again today.

Bahama - stay dry, we have a friend in N. Dakota that had to evacuate last weekend. They got back into their hose Sunday and everything was dry. That was a big relief as they have a little baby, having a mess like that and a wee one is would be double trouble.

The 2 hotest days I ever experienced in the USA were Phoenix -108 degrees in 1970 and Las Vegas -106 in 1996 .

Today its a mere 89 in my area but it feels like 100 .

We plan on being out as much as possible over the next few days . The heat has a tendency to help cure some of my physical ailments .

Good Morning Gang,

Still hot here - was 84 at 10 o'clock last night - low 90's again tonight.

Will probably book air today. Believe it or not prices have actually dropped. Looking at a flight with a 33 minute layout in ATL. I'm just not sure the airline can pull that off. May go with a different one. It would be nice though, the return leg is a direct flight home (stopping in Tampa)

Booked air (through DCA not ATL) and bought trip insurance last night. Just need to nail down pre and post cruise lodging and we are good to go.

Happy tea thursday.

We will need plenty of iced tea and other cool drinks because it's quite tropical here in Ct. The temp could reach 100 today, with plenty of humidity.

Bob, I'm glad that you purchased trip insurance. I have had to use it twice. It sure comes in handy when the stuff hits the fan.

Henry, staying home on a very hot day is a good idea.

Good Morning Gang and everyone else!!

Well, looks like we're going to get some rain today, it's been really hot - temps in the upper 90's with the heat index at least 105. They claim after the rains, we'll cool down into the 80's - we'll patiently wait and see - hope it's just a quick shower and not a gully washer!

Bahama - when our kids were in elementary school they have a family fun night. Every year they had the same little group play music. Two or three times a night they played some some with the catch line "North to Alaska" (may be the title, I'm not sure.)
