Good to hear my friend. I'm my dad's caregiver. He has dementia. I don't get out much. And my other half lost his job several months ago. We have a senior this year. Looking to send her to college next year. I have a full plate. So, you guys go on vacation, I want to hear all of the deatils, all right? I'll tell you all of the boring details of day to day life, like I just finished Eoin Colfer's Plugged yesterday. Wonderful read.

Moirainr, your details are not boring. I know about Dimentia, because my mom also has it.
My DW and I, with help from my son took care of her for some time. We lived in her house for over a year, because our place is not that big and it has stairs.
Eventually we had to put her in a nursing home because she developed some other health issues.
Physically she is doing better over there, but of course her Dimentia keeps on getting worse.

Manuel, you know what I'm going through then. In my dad's case I pulled him out of a nursing home because he was doing badly there and my mom refused to take him back home.

I want to add that the main reason that we are visiting Italy is o visit my 85 year old FIL. His mind is still OK but he is losing his strenght.

He is originally fro Tennessee, but he retired in Italy afer hie career in the US Army. He refuses to come back to the US,so we go visit him when we can.
When are in Italy we take the opportunity to do some touring and this time we have a quite a bit of sightseeing lined up.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a good weekend. We had a nice Italian meal and then went out for breakfast yesterday.

Moiraine - we'll try to offer a place of sanity. It sounds like your life is far from boring.

Boring in the sense that I don't always have a lot to offer unless you want to hear about the latest insanity. But, I do welcome the offer of sanity. There are days I need it.
