I've never done it before, TM. Since it's on my bucket list and it's offered as an excursion for Dominica, I booked it first thing. I want to book an island tour for St Lucia but they only have excursions up for Dominica and St. Thomas so far.

I was in Dominica ,the 3 things I remember most (I was there in 1994):

The Waterfalls
Pineapples
Their prison is on the same premises as their mental hospital

Well, it's sad that the prison and mental hospital are in the same building. That speaks volumes.

Of course an island of that size would not have a large population in their jail.

Kat, if you want to do the Appleton Estate Rum Tour in Jamaica I'd find a private tour company. Don't try to do it own your own. It may be that RCI does not do it from your port yet since it's a new port. If you want to do anything in Jamaica, do it on a tour.

I second that emotion. It's not good to do things on your own in Jamaica.

Yes it is.

Unless there a trip or an appointment, I don't need to use an alarm clock.
I never get up very late, but I don't have to get up early either.
When I was working I would start at 6:30 AM and the commute was a least a twenty minute drive.

Things sure have changeg since I retired.

Yeah, it makes a difference. I'm glad my daughter gets herself up in the mornings now. I make her lunch the night before. Of courrse, I never know when dad is going to yell for me. I traded in getting up early with my daaughter for the old man yyelling for me at alll hours. Oh well. Bothh will stop soon enough as she'll leave for college and he'll pass. Then''ll it'll be too quiet. Of coourse, the cats won't let me sleep in.

We are having comfortable weather in the next few days. It's just warm enough to be comfortable but not hot enough to need the AC.
