Hi ya CQ welcome to the Supernatural family. You have some catching up to do. Season eight starts October 3. I like the show because it's funny, scary and well acted. Plus Sam and Dean are hot and that doesn't hurt. I also like the fact the hot chick gets killed in the first 10 minutes of the show.
TM Congrats on your daughter's wedding. I know it will be beautiful. In fact based on meeting you and Ms. TM I sure it will be a lot of fun to.
Moiraine I would love to leave my hubby at home and cruise with my sister. We could cruise out of Florida and visit TM. But sadly my hubby is really against the idea. I'm not sure if he doesn't trust me or c-sis. I'm guessing it's c-sis because she is the wild one.

Morning Gang. Hope everyone will be having a great day.
Bob, thanks. I hope she can, too. I've waited for two years on this cruise. I wonder if you can change passengers last minute with a cruise line? I've never tried that. I hope she gets to go. I am going even if I have to go by myself.
CQ/VQ, my daughter loved the Vampire Academy books. I've seen the first two seasons of True Blood. I've read the series, which I like better. Waiting ont he last book.
We had a very busy morning, but now I wanted to say hello to you all.
The afternoon will be at a slower pace.

Kat yeah I think it's a great idea for hot chicks to be killed off right in the beginning of a movie/show!!!
Moiraine I'm waiting for the Vampire Academy to come out on the big screen. So far I've heard in 2014. Interesting to see who will be cast for the parts.
TM always help when you like your SIL/DIL.....
I'm still waiting for a cruiseline to host a Vampire cruise!!! onboard with Edward and Bella, Eric, Bill and Sookie, the Salvatore brothers and Elena. And since Cruise, Depp and Pitt played Vampires at some point in their careers it's only fair to have them onboard!!
(and the first 10 minutes of the cruise Bella, Sookie and ELena go overboard!! Who needs them anyway!!)

I have sailed on both Carnival Liberty and Liberty Of The Seas. The Carnival Liberty is a beautiful ship and we had a nice cruise on it, but I prefer the Liberty OTS. I love the layout of the that ship and the entertainment, plus the excitment on it made for two great cruises for us.
Now I'm looking forward to me second cruise on the Oasis. Then I will be having some grasshoppers. They are my drink of choice while cruising.
I'm glad that cruising is on your mind again.

What airport does one fly into for a cruise from Galveston???
Can those of you that have been on Carnival Freedom tell me anything about it? did you like it? Ship/activities/shows etc. etc.
Kat my favorite ships are Royal's Freedom class since you have been on both Freedoms tell me the what like better on each of them.....
Thanks Gang!!
Comparing the Freedoms:
Carnival Freedom doesn't have rock climbing wall, flowrider, and Ice rink Freedom of the seas doesn't have fish n chips station, made to order Calzones and Mongolian BBQ.
For shows they pretty similar. However Carnival Freedom had many more Comedy shows. Plus they do family show then a midnight adult show.
Freedom of the Seas had an amazing ice show that Carnival doesn't have.
My issue with the Freedom of the seas layout is not enough windows. The Royal Promenade gives it the feeling of being in a mall with no view of the ocean. Carnival Freedom had lots of windows and outdoor decks so you always see the ocean. To me it feels more like a cruise because of this.
Also I like the main theater of Carnival Freedom better then Freedom of the seas. FOS had regular theater seats so you have to hold your drink during the show. The Carnival Freedom has lounge seating so they are like love seats with tables in front to put you drink down. FOS has the fun parades in the Royal Promenade which are very cool. But Carnival Freedom has an awesome deck party. Both have Quest.
Carnival Freedom's Captian cocktail party is much better then the one on FOS. The FOS party is in the Royal Promenade so there is very limited seating and it's really crowded. Carnival Freedom cocktail party is in the theater that that awesome seating see the picture below it gives you an idea of the seating. I don't believe the this is the theater but the theater has the same type of seating.
I felt the Carnival Freedom was more geared to adult fun were as the FOS more of a family thing. I did enjoy both cruises, but FOS was much more expensive and it didn't get enough extra to make up for it. I didn't use the Flowrider or Rock Climbing wall so that makes a difference.
On Carnival you can carry on two bottles of wine. Also you can order (overpriced) Bottles of Rum and Vodka for your room. You would call the Bon Voyage department directly to before the cruise to set that up. I hope that helps.
I found a picture of the theater look at the near the stage you can see the tables and seating. I guess the upper balcony has regular theater seats. I sit near the stage.

Good morning Gang. I'm happy today. I'll get to see the kid tonight!
TM congrats to your daughter.
CQ/VQ, Galveston, you fly into Houston. You'll have to get a transfer because it's about 24 or 25 miles, I think. I've sailed out of Galveston once on the Conquest but we used Amtrak. We rode the train from Little Rock to Longview, and then they provided a bus from there to Galveston.
As for a vampire cruise, I'd love one with Mr. Depp. BUT you're totally forgetting Angel and Spike.
Kat yeah I think it's a great idea for hot chicks to be killed off right in the beginning of a movie/show!!!

Have a great day/weekend everyone!!!!!
I have a cousin who has the same name as one of the prominent vampire characters on True Blood . He is having fun these days .
Kat thanks for the breakdown!!! U Da Best!! love the pics too!!!
Moiraine thanks I'll do some checking around for flights to Houston. Damn these airlines are raising their airfares like crazy.
Lakers it must be fun and maybe sometimes annoying having a famous persons name.
So just out of fun I google Vampire cruises thinking nothing will come up but I was wrong seems like there have been vampire cruises and will be more in the future. Holland just had one two months ago to Alaska. Lafayette from True Blood was on one of vampire cruises. He cracks me up!! Most of these vampire cruises don't have any famous vampires on them. Moiraine we shall add Angel and Spike to the vampire rooster on CQ's first annual Vampire cruise...
TM I'm looking into Carn Freedom and Independence of the Seas. both 6 nite cruises. Both with stops in Jamaica and Grand Cayman. Freedom in addition does Key west where Indy does Labadee. However Indy is $1,000. more.
Anything to help out. Oh I forgot something else. On Carnival the waiters perform in the dining almost every night. So people like it other don't. I like it here is a video I took on the carnival freedom.

Bob, I'm thinking of you and your family. It's difficult making medical decisions for or with loved ones in these cases.
QC, the airfares are crazy. I've been getting estimates for our cruise in March. My brother has just about made up his mind to drive. As for the vampire cruise...mmm, count me in if you can get all of those hunks on board.

CQ, either cruise will be great. Maybe the price will go down on Indy.
I decided not to cruise this year because of all our trips back to Ct. The one coming up will be our 5th. and we will also go there for Christmas as well.
Have a nice week folks.

In this case its the most desirable male vampire on TB .
Thanks for the video Kat!!! I love dancing and singing waiters!!!
TM I'm not counting on Indy's rates going down...Royal is most of the times higher priced. But you never know there are still alot of cabins left.
It's getting airfare that starts to get tricky....I check airfare each morning for a couple of the sailings I'm interested in. This morning once again the airfare went up by $30. pp. even though 75% of the seats are available.
Question for the gang....Who has everyone used for insurance? Cruiseline or outside insurance company. Carnival's insurance is $49. per person sounds like it covers a lot. The rep said the cruise, air (if they weather is bad and don't make it to the ship) and also medical expenses if you need a doctor during the cruise. She first said you get all your money back but later in the conversation she said you get 75% of the cruise/air cost to use on a future cruise. I'll have to look it up online when I have time and read all the fine print!!
CQ - we sailed Carni Freedom last spring and really enjoyed her. Haven't done Royal yet so can't give the side-by-side compare like Kat. Royal prices usually keep me sailing Carnival. We did look at Navi out of NO for spring but family health is keeping us from putting anything else on the schedule.
We usually book insurance independently (insure my trip dot com). I would check that Carny insurance might only cover air if you book air through them. The only time we booked Carny air was for San Juan. Generally cheaper on the open market.
We are having a beautiful cool weekend here after a hectic weather night Friday night. The DW went out gallery hopping with some ladies from church and came home as wet as a drowned rat. Looks like the serious weather headed east though. We didn't get anything like NYC.
The FIL said he felt good (92% out of a hundred) which is encouraging. He will have weekly blood tests and transfusions as needed, and can do so closer to home. He will meet with the cancer doc every other week, for now. No other treatment scheduled at this time. There is a clinical trial he could join but the doc seemed in no hurry to put him on that regiment. So we are biding our time.

Hey TM.....When I was in Orlando I asked the Bartender at the hotel bar for a grasshopper and he did not know how to make it. He had to look it up. It was good but not as good as on the cruiseships! However at the hotel Bar in Vegas the Bartender knew how to make it and it was good....
CQ, I'm afraid to try a grasshopper on land, because they make them so good on the ships.
Have a nice day folks.

Bob I understand for a long time I cruised Carnival instead of Royal because it was like $200 per person higher. But I have been wondering about the Freedom of the Seas sinces it started sailing. After Oasis came out the FOS got lower so I gave it a shot. The parades were fun. One awesome thing about Royal that Carnival doesn't have is if you have cruised once on Royal and have past cruise status you get VIP check in as a gold member. I have been a Gold Member on Carnival for a while now and I still don't get VIP check in. Also I loved Labadee, I'm not sure Carnival does anything like that. Since Labadee is Royal's island the lounge chairs are free and they set up a free buffet lunch right on the beach. So your day is pretty set with very little expense.
Thank you TM for your reviews of my story. I love reading the reviews. I was wondering if you reconized the figurehead in the story. I saw it on FOS and that how I got the idea for the story.
