Since CQ was taking a 4PM flight home she is flying as I am posting.

Made it home...

Breeze is a nice looking ship, food is good, cabin is great.....however the entertainment sucks! They have 4 female and 4 male dancers and they put on four shows for the week.....all the same singing and dancing just to different types of songs. 1. british 2. divas 3. motown 4. latin. we were board many times.

As for the punchliners comedy...they had shows on Monday and Thursday. We decided to go on thursday they had shows at 7:30 8:30 9:45 10:45 11:45.....we went to the 8:30 show. after that we wanted to stay for the 9:45 adult show however the crew member said everyone needs to leave the theater and wait in line.......fine we did however most people stayed. so now the people outside on line wanting to see the show had no seats because the 8:30 people never left. the crew never inforced the rules. Now the theater was packed alot standing and many did not even get to go in and see the show. at one point cruisers were getting chairs from the casino and carrying them into punch liner. Then one guy walked in the theater and started yelling....."you Fuc*ers get the hell out so the rest of us could see the show. We were at the entrance of the theater no room for us anymore so we left things were getting ugly. If Carnival knew how to run a cruiseship they would have moved the punchliner show to the showroom which is bigger and everyone can get in or add more shows so everyone can see them. The comedians were on the ship the whole time I saw them. Pay them and let them put on more shows.

The Lido buffet lines were long.

There were two deck parties that were fun...a fight broke out during the first party.

A shouting match broke out in the theater when the Cruise Director threw a tshirt into the audience and a women caught it but another women took it from her hands.

The rap music around the ship and especially in the nightclub. I asked the DJ if he could play some dance music and he laughed....Did he think I was kidding??? Later another crew member told me the rap music does not come from the DJ but from the head office and alot of drinks are sold while rap music is playing so rap music is good for business.

We wanted to play dodgeball so we went to the sports deck at 11:00 am like posted on the fun times. Cruisers waited and waited no crew member showed up to host the game and no announcement made. Finally 11:30 they show up. There is no organization on the ship and it seems like nobody cares.

6 night cruise felt like a month. There is no Farewell show where they show the video for the week and have crew members part of the show like on Royal.

To me Carnival is very low budget

TM my grasshopper was $12. each!!!! I would get drinks at either the nightclub or piano bar....I've noticed on my final bill that there was a charge for $20.58 at the piano bar that I did not make I went to the desk and she credited my account. Then that night the bartender from the piano bar wanted to know why I disputed my bill and she was not happy!!! HELLO....the bill was for two drinks a bacardi martini and a chocolate martini...which I never had. She was demanding that I did have these drinks.....Well the only drink I drank all week was grasshoppers I did not have any other drinks other then water and ice tea. She charged me two drinks that someone else had.

We missed out on Grand Turk due to weather and had an extra sea day....it happens can't control mother nature. the worest day was when we were in Jamaica and who docks next to us.....Allure....I was sad I was on the wrong ship.

Now I have to book a cruise since this cruise does not count...

CQ -sorry things did not go well. Our our cruise punchliners was open 4 nights, same show times so must have alleviated the crowds. Carnival is real good about making rules and not enforcing them. Sounds like you had some rowdies aboard, don't know that I have ever seen that level or anger. Gotta agree about the shows, some people love them - we never go.

CQ, once you are a Diamond member on Royal, it's hard to go on a different cruise line. With perks I have been getting on Royal and Celebrity, I would miss not having them if I went on another cruise line.

CQ, I'm sorry about the rudeness and anger and lack of service. I agree with you about the comedy shows on Carnival. It was like that last time I sailed with them in 2010, and the guys were not very good. I can't say if George Lopez has brought in better people or not. I guess it does not matter if people can't see them.

Wow CQ I'm sorry to hear what happened on your cruise. I'm surprised the bartender at the piano bar bugged you about disputing your drink bill. I disputed an error on Carnival Splendor (in 2010) and I didn't have this happen. I fear the headquarters have deceased the staff's budget and now the crew members are unhappy and showing it to the passengers like you. This should never happen.

I agree with you the crew for sure should have cleared everyone out of the show room after the 8:30PM comedy showing. That's not right and it causes the fighting among the selfish passengers who are refusing to leave. $12 per drink is highway robbery. Rudeness from the crew has no place on board.

My experiences on Carnival have all been good. But my last cruise on the line was in 2010, but I just booked a 15 day on Carnival for 2013 to Hawaiian so I hope things aren't like that on my cruise. It has 8 sea days they will be long days if I have to deal with that crap. I did notice that the longer cruises have older passengers so I'm thinking the Rap music won't be an issue on my cruise. Again I'm sorry your first Carnival experience was so bad.

Happy Tea Tuesday!!

Kat HA!! It's that time of year for the Speedo Run!! At least these guys raised money for a good cause!! It's gotta be to cold in Boston to be in a Speedo....these guys need to be on a cruise instead!!
As for a bad cruise....no it was not bad....When it was good it was like ok ok this is good having fun....other times it was get me off this ship now....it was an OK cruise not bad not good not excellent. Made the best of it.

Yeah the staff have been trimmed down so some are overworked not to happy and it shows. My sister did Hawaii cruise on Carnival I believe it was the Legend a few years back and loved it she said the shows were good. I think hawaii/alaska/europe cruises are better on Carnival. The cheap caribbean cruises is where sometimes you may have issues.

Oh and at the piano bar and nightclub it took forever to get a drink...not enough bartenders.

CQ, the NCL ship I was on had two dining rooms. They do have formals nights where you can dress up...or not, your choice. I like NCL over Carnival...better service, better food, better entertainment. It doesn't mean I won't sail Carnival again, especially when I go with family, but if I have my choice, NCL is the better option.

That is a mistake of the cruise line not having enough bartenders the drink sales is now they make their money. I was have tons of bartenders if it were my cruise line. Of course all the male bartenders would be wearing speedo. Hey I wonder if they have a Speedo cruise.

Hey there was Speedo cruises in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Some of the pictures are something else. Turns out this happy couple got married on the Speedo cruise.

I have the Allure booked however may have to cancel it unless the airfare comes down.....Airfare is $750 to Florida pp. I won't pay that much. It is spring break time but $750???? Really airlines really???
