TM, my daughter is still out. First time her daddy called her she out out having lunch with her friends. When he called again she was snacking and playing video games!

At her age, she has lots of energy. The main thing is that she is safe.

True. I was proud of her last night for crashing at her friends when she'd decided to drink. We've always told her if she drinks she does not drive. As far as I know, that's the first time that she decided to drink.

I hope everyone had a fun New Year's eve. I watched my favorite parade today. I love the Rose Parade since beautiful floats. This year a couple got married right on a float it was wonderful. This one had fire coming out of it.

I try to stay away from it, and I did for a long time, but sometime I go there. It's sad to read that stuff. I love being on the Last Gang thread and I enjoy the good morning thread, and the reading thread, and other chit chat stuff. It's sad to see a once great board to turn into this.

My feet are recovering today....

TM this was the bartender last night making me a Grasshopper....and let me tell you it was not good!!

I guess I'll wait until the next cruise to enjoy a true Grasshopper!!

Moriane good to hear you have your daughter trained with drinking and driving....I do the same with my son....
Last night we left the party and OMG so many people were drunk and getting into the drivers side and driving away....What the heck are people thinking???? Have a non drinking driver or take a cab!!
I was going to have one grasshopper early in the night but it was not made right so ended up with shirley temples all night.

Great news LF!!

Bob how did the hardware shopping go??

CQ, I only enjoy grasshoppers on a cruise.

Last night I had two tequila sunrises, a bottle of wine and of course some champagne and finished off the night with a brandy.

Mrs. TM never drinks anything stronger than Coke.

We did have a good time.

Drinking and driving make me nuts.

Why risk your life and other people's lives? I won't do it and neither will my hubby. Even in my younger years I felt strongly about it and I have never done it. I wait at least an hour after having a drink to drive and longer if I have had more then one. I would feel guilty if I ever hurt or killed someone with my car. Last night my last drink was at 10PM and my hubby drove home his was before that.

LF I'm glad to hear your medical problem hasn't reoccurred.

I hope it's gone for good.

Bob my hubby loves trips to the hardware store. I'm in the gardening section he is in tools.

I hit big five and sports authority today for this year's resolution. I'm trying to fit into my skinny jeans for my Hawaiian cruise. My plan diet and exercise. I got the Wii Zumba so I want to try that out. I do a Zumba class Mondays and Wednesday. Thanks CQ for telling me about it.

C-sis is a fan as well. She goes Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. She has Zumba rush for X-box connect and loves it. I'm going to add some weight lifting and AB work to the exercise list. I'm trying to do 4 work outs a week. Wish me luck. The exercising for me is much easier then the eating right food.

BTW CQ I love your new Avatar was that from your last cruise?

I registered with all 19 cruise boards but I read mostly on the others .Even though I post on non cruise threads on CM ,my preference is a 100% cruise related site.

I can't seem to get warm today. I am warming some potato soup up I had in the freezer for supper. I've already had hot chocolate once today. Maybe I'll have some again later.

Moiraine, when we were in Ct. for Christmas, Mrs. TM could not get warm. I would turn up the heat quite a bit but she just could not get comfortable.
Since we came back to Fl. she has been thawing out.

Glad Mrs. TM has been able to thaw out some. I've had my warm soup now. That's helped for the time being...but if I sit and try to read I'll get cold again. Too bad I have no money for a cruise right now or a trip to see you.

Let me know what you think about the Wii Zumba....I have a Zumba program also on DVD. I'm using Beachbody fitness programs.....Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, Insanity and currently Les Mills Combat. I'm using a wesbite called Calorie Count...it's like weight watchers but it's free. I recently lost 28 pounds.....alot of working out and healthy food choices. Good luck to you all the best!! Weights is a must along with Abs too. You can do it! set your mind to it! Put it in your mind....."I am going to do this and nothing will stop me" I reached my goal right before my cruise and you can too...

The Avatar pic is from Carnival Breeze....I have to say Carnival's professional pictures come out soooo good. We ended up buying most of the pictures they were so nice I could not leave them behind. Any flaws on the face are gone wrinkles...poof gone! They must photoshop or airbrush the pictures...

A cruiser on board told me she is buying all her pictures because she will never look that good in a picture again...

On Royal lucky if we leave the ship with one picture.

LF - I had no idea there were 19 cruise-related boards. I am aware of a couple others. The activity on the cruise line related threads does seem to have slowed here.

CQ I agree when I was on FOS I noticed one of the photo areas had better lightening and reflectors. I made my hubby go over there for formal night photos. Those were the best pictures of the cruise. That and the drunk photos, I got a bit into my cups on the two for one Margaritas one night. Those pictures were funny as heck.

CQ I'm trying the Wii Zumba today I will let you know what I think of it.

It was so cold this morning my dog's water dish had a layer of ice on it.

I'm hoping for rain, that normally warms things up.

I can vouch for TM's guest room. Heck his whole house is really nice. We had a great visit with Mr. and Mrs. TM last year.

They are wonderful hosts.

Bob I'm glad to hear your plumbing problem are fixed. But paying the plumber doesn't that feel like flushing money down the towel.

Okay that was my first dumb joke of 2013.

Actually there are 18 cruise related sites .One site is for both cruise and traveling by air .

I have found a lot of interesting info on the sites but only one of the sites is comparable to CM .
