Last year it was warm enough on March 17 for me not to wear a winter coat .Today I tried to put a St.Patricks Day pin on my coat and it broke.

I have a green scarf but alas I am not going out today .My younger daughter began the NYC Half Marathon race at 7:30 this morning .

In the last few years I have received some shirts and jackets the the Fla or logo of Portugal. Since the Portuguese flag is mainly red and green, I wear green pretty often.

The female winner had a time of one hour and five minutes .My daughter crossed the finish line 35 minutes later .There were 15,000 runners .

CQ, I hope you'll have a good time. I wish I was going somewhere. My daughter will have time off between school being out and starting her job...but I really don't think anything is going to happen. I may fly up to see friends this summer as planned...but we'll see. I may put that off, too.

While a lot of restaurants have been forced to close several are now open including the Portuguese that we went to last year.

Manuel,the beach resort area that we took you to is nearly all destroyed .It will be approximately 3 years to rebuild and millions of tourist dollars will be lost .

TM I'm soooo ready for warm weather!! can't take the cold and white stuff anymore. And I will have a few Grasshoppers in your honor!

Moiraine are you sure you can't book a last minute cruise on Allure? we would have a blast!!

Printing tickets and packing tomorrow....

Sooooo happy I was upgraded to a boardwalk balcony cabin!! YAY!
