Carnival ship I have been on Elation, Ecstasy(upgrade from oceanview to balcony suite), and Paradise. These are all the Fantasy class for ship so a little smaller. Freedom will be my first big carnival ship. I like carnival because the staff are fun and there is a lot going on.

I have also been on the Star Princess (loved it) and the Celebrity Infinity (didn't love it). My first cruise was on my honeymoon on RCCL Viking Serenade (14 years). I can't really remember that cruise to much. It was a porthole room.

CQ from what you said about your sons actvities on a cruise, I think that you pretty much have to stick with the RCL new ships. With all the activities aboard The Freedom of The Seas or her sisters it will be hard for them to do a different cruise. I know I have not sailed on them yet but I stay well informed about the cruise industry.

Arrival was not nearly as bad as departure and arrival was BAD!

I guess it was better on arrival because you're trying to get OUT of the airport.
As Mehawk said, the place is a zoo.

Again good advice from TM!

You want to laugh, I had three brochures Princess, Carnival and Royal sitting on the coffee table. I went to throw something away in the garbage before and when I opened the lid there were the Princess and Carnival brochures in the garbage. However the Royal brochure was still on the coffee table. I questioned the kids they said "since we are cruising Royal there is no need to have other brochures".

You should tell your kids that when you were a kid a vacation was getting in the car driving 8 hours. Stopping once in these 8 hours at "clean" gas station restrooms. To at a place where you will have to use public restrooms and sleep in a thin dwelling made of high flamable frabic on the hard ground.

Hey CQ we have a rock climbing wall just four hours away from our house. It's called Half Dome (Yosemite). Come on down and climb it.

I was busy in work today and then I went to church for Ash Wednesday so that is why I haven't posted much today. What I learned is an hour in church can be wiped out by 10 mintues in the parking lot.

When I was kid the only place I went was Croatia and Italy. However the island I'm from was like Gillians Island no bathrooms and lights no cars no stores. In Italy we stayed in run down hotels where every 5 rooms share one bathroom.

If I went on a cruise as a child I would have been happy on any ship!

I like the pink dress. CQ you should tell that story to your boys. Which island I think friend said the "spilt" is the island in Croatia they have family at. When Csis and I visited family on Madeira Island it was either the chamber pot at night or go out back to the outhouse. I got meetings this morning (right now it's 5:50AM) so I won't be around to be last unitl later. Have a great day last gang.

Split is nice! However I'm from Gillians Island or(aka island of Susak)

What do you mean you are not going to be around. Tell your boss the last gang is important!

CQ and Kat I sure understand those srories about the primitive life. If we ever meet in person I could tell you a lot about living in a small town in Portugal. It's difficult to explain to my kids because things have changed so much over there. Besides I'm glad that my kids did not have to live under those conditions.

My dad would tell us these stories whenever we didn't clean our room. He would say, "we only had a dirt floor and my mother kept that floor clean." That always confused me how do you keep dirt clean?

Kat I don't know how you could keep a dirt floor clean, but that's a cute statement. After all the years that have passed by I still am amazed at how little we had then, compared to what we have now.

Manuel, just 3 times...so far
I frequent another board with NFL as the topic.
It is sad to listen to the Pats fans complain about the refs and say that the game was fixed. Each play they bring up either wasn't a bad call or would not have determined the outcome.
Reminds me of me when it comes to me and my Chargers.

Another thing they OVER gloat about are the records the Pats set.
589 points in a season? That is 36 points per game-61 Bears averaged 38.
Moss' 23 TD's that is 1.44 per game- Rice had 1.46 per game in 1987.

16 game season records don't mean much when you compare them to 12,14 and 15 (strike shortened 1987)
