QB's get the chics right? That is the only reason I played. The summer double sessions practices were BS! No guts no glory.
The Boss said it best in Glory Days! But I can probably relate better to Al Bundy my only claim to fame being the time I scored 3 touchdowns in one game and then got "Married With Children" and had to listen to Pegs persistent nagging and selling shoes to overweight women who think they wear a 6 when they really need a 12.

High school football has everything I like about college football. I think when you introduce money into a sport, it sort of ruins it.
Someone mentioned that pro football is all about the players, and not the coach. That's because of money. And that's one of the reasons high school football and college football are better. You don't have players holding out of training camp, complaining about their pay, and not respecting their coaches.
If you want to win, you shut up, listen to your coach, and do as he says. Pete Carrol at USC is a perfect example of this. Lou Holtz at Notre Dame, Joe Paterno at PSU, and Tom Osborne when he was at Nebraska are also perfect examples of this.
When it's more about the coaches than the players -- when the coach gets paid more than the players do, when it's about leadership and developing young men, then I'm much more interested in watching it.
High School and College is REAL football... Love to watch as anything can and will happen. As a loyal Gamecock fan I know the trails and tribulations of failure.... GO COCKS!
