I live in Texas and I just love it, nice weather, friendly and helpful people, huge steaks, rattlesnakes, desert for hours, a man still opens a car door for you and not just because the car OR the woman is new.
English does sound a little bit like they have 10 bubble gums in their mouth plus a potato.... .
I have to go back to Germany but one sunny day I'll retire and be back in Texas.

Texas is a wonderful place. I've been to more than 1/2 the towns/cities listed. I bet some feller from Alaska comes in here with a map superimposed of the lower 48.

Default Is it really....?

I've been through Texas twice, and loved what I saw both times. My only regret? Never got to have any hanky-panky

So I'm left still wondering whether or not everything really is bigger in Texas

sigh

Gov. Zoolander !

A quote from the movie: "Derek Zoolander: I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is."

Default Rick Perry

Gov "Good Hair's" pet project was the Texas Corridor and it was thankfully dropped. He hasn't done much, but that is his greatest asset IMHO. He kept government out of the way and let local businesses become successful.

He's a country boy and an Aggie. He's not my first choice, but I'd be fine with him as President. He is very popular here in Texas just ask Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

Live just outside of SA and work in the city. Biggest problem is there's no cruise port here.....
