Silly questions from a Pharmacist ,doctor ,dentist, etc.
I was at a doctors office today and he electronically sent a prescription to my local pharmacy .
I went to pick up the medicine and was told that it had as not been received . The Pharmacist said she will call the doctors office and said to me: "Do you know the name of your doctor ? " |
Answer:
No, I'm being treated for amnesia. |
The fact is that people today just don't know what they are doing.

Gads, that is not as stupid a question as it may seem to be. I can picture myself answering I forget the Drs. name but he/she is part of such & such doctors group. Going there for the 1st time and not given a next appointment card, I could very easily forget the Drs. name. Lakers you may be too young to understand that.
I suspect the Drs. office faxed it to another same brand drug store down the street. That has happened to me. Or did I forget which drug store I had them fax it too. LLOLL O F c'er |
I visited the Drs today for the 1st time this year and was greeted with 'you are a stranger' :)
We have several doctors in our practice and my regular GP retired almost 2 years ago. So if someone asks me for the name of my Doctor - I answer I don't know. I just say I belong to xyz practice. Annie |
No

As it turned out it was sent to the pharmacy I deal with but the Pharmacist messed up . As far as being too young ,I doubt that very much .In fact you may be younger than me. |

My wife and I are usually the couple married the longest at parties and occasionally on cruises ,however ,we have a way to go to hit 65 . |
Over the past 2 years, I have been hospitalized to receive a heart stent (day after Christmas 2010... Merry Christmas!) and for falling face first in a dead faint. So, a battery of doctors have seen me in both cases and the doctors all run together as to who did what and why. So, yes, I have been to the pharmacist and not known who a certain doctor is.

I'm sorry Dr. Who. (Groan, sorry)

It really isn't a "silly" question. Many people do not have a regular physician. They go to whatever, "Minute Clinic" or HMO group they belong to and rarely see the same doctor. They just take whoever is available.
It's a sign of the times. Take care, Mike |
