One of the UK's quality Tour Operators, Bales, has just announced they are resuming operations in Egypt.
I wonder how quickly the cruise lines will follow,
Many of the major cruise lines do not have ships in the Mediterranean right now, so they have not announced any changes to itineriaries as a result of events in Egypt, Libya, or elsewhere in that part of the world. I'm sure that they are monitoring developments and that they will make changes if the situation remains unstable.
Princess and MSC cancelled all sailings, but I know Princess left the door open to go back if things change. I give them credit for making an announcement before final payments were due on the May sailings

I would expect that it will take some time for things to return to (normal) in the Middle East.

What is "normal" for the Middle East!!! Just looking at some of the pictures Parrot Pop took in Egypt, who knew the turmoil that was boiling underneath.
Some people of course want to carry on and get back to normal, but the peaceful protesters are basically on a general strike in that country, meaning they will block peacefully as much as they can until their leader is taken out of office.
