Default Cruiser booted off Westerdam for not complying with safety briefing

I wonder if we're going to start seeing more cruiselines take a hard line in the future.

I am glad to see HAL do this. I wish all the cruise lines would enforce a policy like this. You don't attend, off you go.

It has been pointed out else (pre-Concordia) that passenger participation in the safety drill is not a Coast Guard requirement. I wonder if the liens will start putting this in their contracts.

The Coast Guard requirement is the drill be held - I want to credit the original statement but don't want to misquote somebody.

I advocated the enforcement of a smiliar policy either on this board or elsewhere and I was flamed
