Taxi vs Airport Transfer in Tampa

Need cost comparison: taxi vs airport transfer for two to port from Tampa Intern'l.

I have been wondering this as well. I found out that someone said that it would cost about $25.00 per trip, but then you have to also add in tip. I know there will probably not be a problem getting a taxi at the airport but since it is only my sister and I (and she is disabled) I am worried about getting a taxi back to the airport from the port.

Don't worry about getting a Taxi back from the Port. Every time the ships come in, the Taxis are lined up around the block. I would agree with $25. I used to live near the port and it was about $20 from the Airport. (the port is a little further)

according to Tampa airport; cab should be 22 plus tip; I did not see the shuttle prices.

I ask the travel agency how much for a transfer. She said $25.00 per person for 1 way plus a $35.00 booking fee. So to and from it would cost $135.00 for 2 people, thats outragous. So we'll just stick with a cab! Oops sorry this is for Ft. Lauderdale, not Tampa

I agree with all of the above. Taxi is probably the easiest, and perhaps least expensive way to get back and forth from TIA to the port of Tampa. As stated above, there should be no problem getting a cab back to the airport, as there are normally a whole bunch of cabs lined up at the port when the ship comes in. Have a GREAT time in our fair city, and y'all come back, ya hear?

My son spent the afternoon at the aquirium. He had his luggage stored at the port and they had a shuttle back to the airport for $7.00 each
