If you got to get stuck on an island Madeira is a great island to get stuck on. Wonderful food, good booze, and friendly people. plus the Flower Festival starts on April 5 and that is suppose to be really pretty. Maybe I'm biased cause my dad is from there and came to the USA at age 17. If they are still there in May I can so hey to them. Hey I think I see them now. I love Madeira honey cake or bolo de mel I have to wait until May. One it the things I like to do is follow the ships that come into madeira island it helps me learn about the international cruise lines. I do feel bad for these cruiser if that have to fly out of Madeira, it's scary. The runaways are built over the ocean.
