Cruise prices dropping??
My sister told me she heard on the news that if you’re planning on booking a cruise wait until October 13th because the rates are going to drop. Anyone else hear about this?? I will be checking the Carnival website to see if mine has changed in price.

My sister told me a lot of things.;) I know of no reason this would be true.

Nope, didn't hear that, hope its true....time will tell.

If results bear out it's more likely to be co-inky-dink. Efficient markets are rather unpredictable.

The AP ran a story about "historical trends" in holiday airfares (after this coming week airfares historically increase). Maybe the item was related to this story?

This is true Oct is national cruise month with Oct 13 being the biggest cruise booking date and the best deals are offered on this date.

I have found that the Cruise Night sales have not really offered any real savings over other sales they have almost monthly. I think Holland America does offer some extra real savings on a few cruise that are experiencing weak sales, but those have restrictions. Usually it's a small OBC and reduced deposit that is offered. But good eye ALE.. I didn't put the two together.

I've only seen a drop in the initial deposit, not much in total price?
