Opinion of Norwegian Cruise Line

I would like opinions of Norwegain Cruise Lines. Two travel agents have told me that they would not book us on the line because of poor service and food .

We sailed on NCL twice and were happy with it, but that was before their new free-style policy went in place. I wonder if service has gone down because of this? We found the entertainment to be excellent and the food very good, but Celebrity's food is better.

6 of us just made our first cruise on Norwegian Sky so we have no other line to compare with, but it was great. We were waited on very well in the restaurants and our staterooms were always kept tidy and well equipped with amenities. The food was delicious and more exotic than we're normally used to (midwestern meat and potatoes families). Lots of seafood and lamb, pork, beef, and fancy desserts. Plenty to eat at all hours of the day. We never waited more than a few minutes for a table. Our travel agent reported no problems with NCL and we had none either. We even got a free cabin upgrade. Also, perfect weather which was probably more in God's hands than the travel agents. A wonderful time.

Hi lin,my wife and i have just come off of the NCL Majesty,last Sunday.We had a great time.We left out of San Juan on 1/20/02.As for the food we have had better.The service was a bit off because I think they take the tips right out of your account.and you dont have the same waiter all the time.We ate a few time up on deck at the buffet.
Like with any cruise you can have a great time if you make a great time.

Have sailed NCL twice, same ship and enjoyed it very much. Both cruises were before Freestyle. Thought the food was fine...not the best I've had, but good. (The food does not make or break the cruise for me however.) For what we paid, I thought it was a very good value.

I agree. My first cruise was on Norw. and it was a disaster! Rude, aloof staff! To much BAD to itemize!

Our families first cruise was on the Norway. We had a wonderful time....but now that we have experienced other lines and new ships there is no way we would go back.....
For the price we paid for the Norway we experienced far more on RCCL....

We will be cruising on the Sky this August-----------this being our first experience with NCL. As you did, we received mixed reviews.

Our previous trip was with Carnival. Naysayers gave us negative critiques of that line, but we found it to be thoroughly enjoyable.

We look forward to Alaska on the Norwegian Sky.
