There’s been a change in plans… for the CruiseMates Thanksgiving Group Cruise. Unexpectedly NCL has pulled all of our group space on the NCL Sun for the scheduled Thanksgiving CruiseMates Group Cruise VERY early in the game, apparently because the ship is close to being sold out already.
Nancy Bogert, of Cruise Planners, our agent for this cruise, has come up with an alternative with equally superb pricing on the Golden Princess, and CruiseMates, after serious thought, has decided to “JUMP SHIP”, to assure us of having cabins for those who still want to join in.
Nancy will be contacting those who have booked the NCL Sun cruise, to explain the situation and assure them they can stay on the NCL Sun, as booked, or join us on the Golden Princess.
This has all transpired tonight, so our Group Cruise promotion page has not yet been updated, but if you’d like to join us on the Golden Princess for Turkey, you can call or e- mail Nancy for details.

Jim;
What can we do to convince you and Mrs. Robo to join us? It would be such a blast! Imagine the possiblities!

Re: Re: A change in our Thanksgiving CruiseMates Cruise
Finally! I booked this cruise last October and you are about the first people I've found on this board and www.cruisecritic.com that will be joining us!!!!! Yeah!!!
My wife, daughter (9) and I will be joined by my parents-in-law (her parents :-)), my nieces (11 and 21), sister-in-law and her husband, and hopefully more!!! Keep me posted on any fun things you have planned! Also - feel free to email me with any questions/comments. I sailed the Grand last year so know a little about the Grand class ships. You'll love it!

Jim.
We'll have to stay in touch as the cruise draws closer. Happy to meet some cruisermates readers onboard.
We had a CruiseMates group cruise on the Golden over New Years, and sailed the Grand a while back too. Think I may give PC a shot this trip... see how it goes.
Re: Re: Re: Re: A change in our Thanksgiving CruiseMates Cru
Kuki,
I have never done a group cruise before. Can you tell me anything about the dining arrangements? Does the group eat together? PC or traditional?? Nancy said she didn't know yet. If there is no plan for group dining, I want to reserve late/traditional right away since I hear it fills up fast. I will be solo so this is a concern.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: A change in our Thanksgiving CruiseMates
Hi Jo,
The dining arrangements are really dependant on what everyone who books wants. On our last cruise on the Summit the group accidentally was pretty balanced.. about half preferred early and half late.
In that case there was a cluster of CruiseMates tables at each seating, which is ideal.
With Princess we add the choice of PC into the mix, so I truthfully can't answer specifically about dining arrangements until the cruise draws closer. I'd bet though that there will be no problem finding other late diners within the group to sit with.
On New Years when we were on Golden we chose traditional dining. Thinking this time I may just give PC a chance.. to experiment. Dining at 7-7:30 sounds pretty good to me, where early is a bit early, and late, a bit late<G>
