Hmmm neat idea ... or maybe we could do a BYOB one on one of the 2 at-sea days as we head down?
By the way, went to Walmart today to re-stock the toletrie bags -- sleeping pills, Nyquil, Pepcid, Bonine -- Lord, all the crap you have to bring as you get older!

Oh, wanted to point out -- the Pride will be in port in Long Beach Sunday (tomorrow). You may wish to check out one of the cruise cams sites and pick the port to get a look at her.

We're 2 weeks out so thought I would check the weather -- mid-70s in all ports. Looks like some rain here and there, so I would pack the travel umbrella just in case.

Sorry I disappeared! Been down with the flu, and having a bad time of it even with a flu shot. Everyone at work is passing it around....
Shar, sorry if I have hung you out to dry on the tour in Mazatlan, think Mom and I will just wing it. Please forgive me.
Mike, can you tell me about the dinner seating??? My email is whytshldrz@aol.com. Thanks....I would like to be together with everyone....late seating.
Was thinking of booking David's Supper Club for those of you interested on Tuesday, the second day at sea...is 7:30 okay for everyone????? Or please give me a suggestion if you would prefer another day and time......guess I will do this when I get on the ship.....also want to book massages and they say to do that when you first get on before they sell out????
Am trying to figure out clothes....is chilly here, and hot there.....what is everyone wearing to get on the ship with??? Should I be dressed to go to dinner??? I hear the luggage doesn't always show up to change before dinner????
I read on another board that a few weeks ago the seas were 15 ft high coming back from Cabo, and they said the aft was really rocking....geeezzzzzzz...if my Mom sees that, she will flip!!!!
Harry, I want to hear all about your trip, how the ship was and the food...........
Snowy Owl, thanks for the email and checking on me, I haven't been on the computer for over a week............too weak! Am glad that you joined us here..........
Mike, I have a photo or two on line from a site...can you maybe transfer it over to your site for me??? I am so computer illiterate that I don't know how to do this.....
Am planning on being at the pier around 11:30 or so.......already did my check in via the computer......have docs.....
Can't believe it is almost here....I am counting the hours....
It's good to hear from you. Sorry you've been ill. I've also been down with the flu for the last week. Good thing we got it early enough to recover, huh?!
Don't worry about the Mazatlan thing, you have a great time doing what appeals to you!
We'll pass on David's. You guys will have to fill us in on how it went, Wednesday night.
I'll be wearing a simple straight skirt and sweater for dinner. My plan is to wear slacks and the same sweater to the ship. It will be chilly out on the balcony, so I'm going to bring a couple of light jackets that I can layer, if it gets too cold. We like to walk the decks after the evening show, but the Pride will be moving really fast, so I'm not sure about the wind. So we might end up on our balcony instead. I'd really recommend bringing a change of clothes for dinner in your carry-on. Most likely you'll get your luggage before we set sail.
Ouch on the 15 ft seas!!! Oh well, we're going for the experience and that'd sure be one! :o)
Marci,
Glad to see your back.
We are so excited about this trip, my kids are either happy as clams or crabbier then can be. I am pretty much living on the internet. You all will really love Davids. We ate there on the Legend and it was great. After raising beef cows it's hard to find good tasting meat but my husband could not believe how good his steak was. I had the lobster and it was great too. I sure hope we have warm weather because we (here in MN) need to thaw out. We are having a cold snap right now. It's been below 0 degrees and in the minus teens for the windchill. When you have to go outside you run. As for the high waves it seems that coming back to home port it always seems that there is rougher sea. I do'nt think it will be as bad as when we cruised on the Mardi Gras in the 80s. On a normal day you could not even walk down the hall with out bumping into each wall. The halls had hand rails. I saw the pride in port that was neat. Well back to the boards.

Next cruise 6-16-2010 on the Miracle!!!
Just day dreaming and reminded my mom that two weeks from tonight, we would be at the Captain's Party and Dinner..........hmmmmmmmm
Shar, think you are right about bringing a jacket.....am going to bring jeans, too-just in case it is too chilly for capris.......
Got all the bags out and am making lists so as not to forget anything!!! This is so exciting!
Sounds like we are going to have a good group at our table!!! I am kind of shy at the beginning, but think I will be just fine, since I have already met you all here!! That is a very cool thing about these boards!
Am off with mom tomorrow night to see "Chicago" in Hollywood at the Pantages....it has just come from New York, staring Patrick Swayze....have fabulous seats, so will let you know how it was.....didn't see the movie....but have loved Swayze ever since Ghost and Dirty Dancing.....
Has anyone ever booked another cruise while on one??? I hear through the boards that you can get a better deal??????????
We've booked on board with princesss before, Marci, because they allow you to do an open booking (not pick any ship or dates) and still get a room credit. Tried to do so on RCCL, but no open bookings.

Has anyone completed the fun pass? or have done so in the past? part of my group has finished but did not make a copy of completion, does that matter?
soooooo close I can believe it, we have been planing this trip almost a year and the time has come :O)
Hi Freddig!
I would recommend bringing a copy, just for insurance. If the computers go down, you could be required to fill out all the info again. Not that it's likely, just makes the going easier :o)
Hey, Harry!!
What's this about a house? Is it for investment or are you moving?
I sure understand about the workload. The people I support are finally realizing that they've only got six more days for me to get their work done...
We don't know!!! I told Art tonight I am so looking forward to that balcony just to relax -- even ordered a book thru bookfinder.com. The house is done May 31st so we will decide then.
Did you all notice -- we are almost to 200 messages!!
We are indeed the chattiest Cruisemates cruise!
Harry
