I'll be looking for a group cruise for late jan/feb/early march 2006 for a small group, would llike to join in on one of the bigger groups, like this. east/west carib. looking for good pricing on insides.
Just came across this site searching for a group cruise to Alaska in 2005. How does this all work? I would be cruising as a single and would like to know if I can be matched up with a roommate to share room cost. Any ideas?
We're still waiting for a CruiseMates group cruise out of Port Canaveral, anywhere on any ship. In the meantime, we're planning to sail on the Norwegian Spirit (ex-Superstar Leo) to the Southern Caribbean (Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, Antigua & Tortola) out of Miami in March or April of '05.
She's an outstanding ship in all ways, from what we've heard, and reports from folks who've been sailing her Alaska itinerary have raved about the quality of the food and service. I know a lot of people badmouth NCL, but we've had two great cruises on the line in the past 2 years.
Any chance of a CruiseMates cruise on the Norwegian Spirit next spring? Good ship, good itinerary, and we don't have to fly to San Juan!
Kuki, we're Canadian and we pretty much have to fly everywhere to cruise - so departure point doesn't really matter......do you guys typically offer one or come up with a couple of options and then sort of vote on which one will have the most people going? What happens on these, do we all chip in and throw ourselves a party or something?
Hi, I've just discovered this site so don't know what you have done in recent past. How about Voyager class RCCL? My husband really wants to get on one of the giant ships.
Also, do you ever do Christmas cruises or do you stay away from times when kids are out of school because they book up and are expensive??? We are planning one for next Chrsitmas with another family.
Thanks!!!
Hi Kuki,
I found the website in this past Sundays LA Times Travel section on Solo Travelers. I've been on one cruise( Princess Star- Mexican Rivera 2002)with my Teenage Daughter. Never saw her! Anyway, I would like to see a Cruise planned to Alaska If possible and your not tired of it. And one to some of the Islands in the Caribbean. Possibly with Airfare included. I live in California. Maybe a Cruise to Hawaii!! I would someday like to see the Panama Canal too. Well there's my suggestions. I'll keep checking back to see what comes up. Have A great day.

I am from the UK, love the website and would love to do a group cruise! Alasaka in sept would be my choice, or a two weeker round the caribean, seeing as many islands as possible (Ocean village do a great itinery - but i hear they are for the twenty something party crowds)
Oh no I didn't even go on my first cruise yet and I am reading all these posts on group cruises in the future oooooh I think you guys got me hooked good because I want to go with you all on all of them. Ro
A 10-12 day cruise leaving out of a USA port during the first two weeks of August. Rates are just so high otherwise, perhaps a group rate would help.
A 10-12 day cruise leaving mid-December. We're on the Dec. 18 Galaxy (12 day out of Galveston and this is perfect!). We also avoided the price premium for New Year's since we're off the ship on Dec. 30.
Can you consider a group cruise on the Norwiegan Sun on Dec. 18 2005? (11 day out of New Orleans)
Clearly, this request would be of interest to those of us who are constrained to school calendars.
Hi,
I am interested in a Med cruise in the fall of 05. There is one Sep 19/05 on Celebrity
12 day cruise starting in Barcelona to Venice. Would also be interested in adding a couple of days on at the front end in Barcelona.
I am just recently single... (widow) and have travelled a fair bit but always with my husband. I am a very independent person and easy to get along with... non smoker, fun loving and very active. (mid 50's) but very young in spirit.
Keep me in the loop for any future cruises you are considering.
Edith
Re: Re: Re: Future CruiseMates Group Cruises!?!?!?
Hi Val. I'm also looking for a roomate for a cruise to Alaska in summer. I'm not sure when I get out of school (I'm a student teacher) but probably July in good, maybe the first week in August -- no later cause I'll be looking for a job. I really wanted Europe this summer but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Our dollar is like 50 cents. I love cruising and traveling and have gone alone and with roomates. I'm could probably fill you in on some things to look out for with me or anyone else. Talk to ya later. Sandy
Kuki:
This may not be a popular suggestion. But after having been on 26 cruises, I suggest doing something out of the ordinary for those of us who have been to so many of the same destinations over and over. How about an Australian cruise? We've done it once and Australia and New Zealand are such absolutely wonderful places that to repeat this cruise would be a joy.

How about a CCL Caribbean cruise Presidents Day week 2006? This is public school vacation week in the northeast. There are a lot of families looking at that week. The CCL Liberty or CCL Merical are a couple of ships I was looking at. I also like the RCCL Voyager class ships. This is a popular week. so I know you will get a good response.
Are you interested in adding someone from CA? Would I get a better rate if I go with you guys? Does anyone need a roomate? I'm 40 something, look 30 something, student teacher. Thanks.
Lou....
We've done quite a number of groups on Celebrity, and RCI. Just had a group in Jan. on the Jewel of the Seas actually.
A coincidence that two of the three we currently have available now are on Carnival, and the other on Princess.
We move around between all the major cruise lines, even did one on the luxury Radisson cruise line. It all depends on where we can find the deals that we think will offer great value for the money.
Id like to see a cruise out of Boston, Ma preferably (or if not New York City) which goes to the Carribean or Bermuda and has inexpensive rates available for singles.
I am very interested in a summer 10 or 11 day Eastern Mediterrean Cruise. Would love to do a "Sailing" curise.(Windstar etc.) Venice and Rome are a must.
