Cruisemates singles group?

Can anyone tell me how you join up for a Cruisemate singles cruise? Two of us might be interested in the Valor on May 8th. Can you just book a cabin and join the group or do you have to go through a special travel site or agent? I looked at the list of single cruises on this site but that one was not listed and some of the prices on others seemed higher than prices I found on other websites. Thanks for any info.

There is no official CruiseMates singles group cruise. I think the cruise you are talking about is one with posts on the singles message board.

As far as I know these are simply people booking the same ship, and it's not necessary at all to book through any particular travel agent. Find the best price you can get on the ship, and then if you book just join in the thread.

I'm sure they'd be more than happy to include you in their activities.

If you find out more about how to figure out the singles cruises, let me know! I'm going on the Golden Princess in April with 2 of my girlfriends and it's always nice to know the other single people on board.

Kuki, Thanks so much for the info. At least now I know where to start. We are still trying to decide what we want to do, but the Valor sounds beautiful and May is my favorite month to travel. Doing all my research first. I LOVE this website!
