Christmas/New Year's Cruise

I am looking into a 10/12 day cruise for Christmas/New Year's. Any suggestions. I know that RCCL has several cruises leaving on/around December 23. I would like a cruise that does not have a lot of children.

Please help.

I took the RCCL Panama Canal 11 day December 18-29, 1999. Great cruise... LOTS of children - mostly from Mexico City. Loved the ports and overall experience, but wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a quiet, mellow cruise. By the end of the trip the staff was at its wits end from dealing with all the vandalism, discipline (the parents were usually nowhere to be found), etc. and it showed in their service. Good luck.

Taking a cruise over Christmas and New Years, and hoping not to have many kids, is almost to dream the impossible dream.

Though longer cruises generally attract an older crowd, with less kids..... at Christmas many take extended families along.

To reduce the chances, you might try one of the luxury lines.
